F1 Sound on Broadcasting

Here is an example of what the Ferrari SF-24 sounds like in real life.

What you hear onboard, regardless of the mode, well. But what you hear in the replay is just too much.

You're standing in a bend, turned again and shifting through the gears for a worthy donut. The squeal of the tires is audible, the rumble over the curbs. But there are no real revs or gear changes at all, just samples of accelerating while you're still standing and stupidly sorting through the gears.

Here's an example of what an actual car sounds like - in case you dear Codies don't have access to YouTube search 😉

@c62a35f65d81694f   Yes clearly the sound present in F1 24 is very far from reality. 🔊

This is one of the things that developers need to rework

The "real" sound is there, unfortunately only very quietly. I turned around at the entrance to the chicane in Japan and watched the mishap in the replay with the broadcast cam.

While I was shifting through the gears and getting the car moving in the right direction again, the sound drove away cleanly and very quietly you could hear the real revs, the gear changes, everything under the hood. The noises are there and they don't even sound bad.

For me, it's a problem with the soundtracks. The rolling noises and bumping over kerbs are also more than clearly audible.

Just take out the superfluous samples of the engines or turn them down completely. That already sounded annoying in F1 23, but at least the actual engine sounds were still clearly audible.
