For the future. Separate simulation from arcade consistently, you can have both. But separate them into lists and leagues. Bringing everything under one hat only creates frustration on both sides.
Players with FFB steering wheels usually have different preferences than players with gamepads. Separate the two and only let them compete against each other if they are aware of these differences. I think this general crossover is the first big mistake. I certainly don't want to accept compromises with a steering wheel because an opponent is using a pad. In that case, let us simply decide for ourselves who we want to play with. And then make that visible beforehand, including the racing line. I use it for braking points, for example.
Finally add a rain mode for TT or at least a test track where you can try out your car, with clutch and pit lane. It's all been done before.
Even earlier there was telemetry in the pits. ALT+TAB makes the game unsafe and it takes a really long time to get through even with a GB line and a fast PC, extremely uncomfortable.
I can only say one thing, it's no fun.
F1 World is superfluous, if I wanted to give someone shirts I'd play Sims, simulation is completely lacking, weather is extremely bad uLazy answer for an unpleasant topic. That's my impression for other topics too.
Somehow there doesn't seem to be any motivation left to tackle commutity issues. Let the next team take care of it, we got the beta rolling for a totally overfull price. Sorry, that's my impression. Or why are we being asked such a stupid question almost six months after release? Do you really want to change something about 24 or milk the now dead cow again?
Sorry, you messed up with 23, but this time you really hit the wall with 24. You can't get out of this number. and so on ...

EA definitely won't see it this way, but the correlation is so abundantly clear, that since they took over this game franchise, it has gone rapidly downhill faster than the overpowered AI in F122!
There are so many issues and things that absolutely have to be improved. I've never known any other game of any type of genre on the planet with as many bugs. Additionally some of the bugs the game launched with is an absolute joke.
Literally rushed out with zero care and attention and then charge the loyal customers £90! Oh and while they're at it, let's destroy the online store and make people grind for helmets and race wear.
My absolute biggest gripe since EA took over and destroyed it, is their absolute persistence in coming up with gimmicks and unrealistic material that doesn't belong in specifically an F1 game.
If they just concentrated on doing the basics correct instead of wasting recourses on the nonsense they keep churning out, then everyone would be delighted.
F125 has to be a night and day improvement in absolutely every area throughout. From the addition of more helmets, more general race wear, dramatically improved AI, better engine sounds and a much improved handling model, just to name a few.
My bet is all the suggestions within this thread will be completely ignored and they will dream up another load of fictional twaddle to try and implement into F125.
I'm afraid if that is the case then F125 will sell even less than F124. It's absolutely in their own interests to deliver a game that actually works and to implement what people have been asking for.
I will briefly summarize my wishes once again:
- A real simulator mode with pit lane and always clutch
- A real telemetry in game without ALT+Tab via mods, it's all been there since GP4 and F1 99
-Remove F1 World, put TT and co back in the main menu, reintroduce rain mode for TT. Or just a test track with weather, where the pit can also be driven without autopilot
-If tire temps and brakes bring a new physics, make it tangible, not such a wishy-washy between consoles and wheels. Make 2 modes out of it and let them play separately.
-Sound in the replay again away from sampling, idea good, implementation completely wrong, it never fits.
-If multiplayer, separate consoles or pads from wheels, both under one hat will not work without compromises for one party
-The whole crossover idea is nice, but won't work for all sides, the hardware is just too different. Make it optional somehow. If PC vs console, yes, but then selectable and filterable in lists. All the lists are wrong anyway. Assist is at eye level against without assist. Ranking list shows everything. totally stupid. Hm, simulation is never wanted by default.Too bad the license went to such a philosophy -.-
- @IanM282 I have the same feeling as you have. I too bet that nothing here will be taken into account to improve the next game.
However, I can't believe FOM seeing the game going so much downhill, will just let the license stick with them, or at least give a serious warning that something has to change. - IanM2824 months agoSeasoned Ace
@TomasSlb24Agreed, EA should just leave Codemasters to it and not get involved. They simply don't have a clue when it comes to F1 games.
Everything they have tried to create and implement has been a complete disaster. F1 fans want as much realism from a game as possible and not gimmicks.
Just look at the huge downward spiral since they took over.
I would like to take up the cudgels for CM:
When the release came, with 1.2, I was blown away, visually nothing had changed, the first feeling for the car, well, it was snappy, very direct and it was something completely different. Mind you, I drive on the PC with a Fanatec. But it was really cool with it, somehow different. Then came 1.3, I was sick of it, I wanted to have the 1.2 again, only not quite so twitchy on the rear axle.
Then came 1.6 and so on, it slowly became like f1 23 or worse.1.2 wasn't perfect, but it was fun, the car was suddenly direct at last, it went well around tight bends and didn't make any mistakes on the rear axle, it was a completely new feeling and it was really fun. Slowly a trace of it is coming back, but it's not the same feeling anymore.
I would like to thank all console and GamePad gamers for this. At last there was an F1 title on the market that was cool purely in terms of driving. Now there's hardly anything left except a snorey title that nobody is happy with anymore. Thank you EA/CM for having unskillfully missed all the flies you were aiming for. You really had a good slap in the face. Send one get one, once with professionals

It's honestly kinda impressive to see just how bad EA has fumbled this series.
They have the licence of the biggest Motorsport series during its biggest boom period. And this is the best they can do.
Although Codemasters do need to shoulder some blame, for a company that's been making racing games since 1987. F124 makes them look like a bunch of amateurs. Looking through the inexcusable bugs introduced in the latest patch, the basics seem too much for them to handle.
If these guys are serious about trying to win back fan trust. Something serious needs to be done.
But I just know that the first f125 trailer will feature the line "revamped F1world" and that's when I'll give up on this series entirely.
F1 is the main game I play I do love that they have finally made it possible to do a career mode as a real driver just wish there was an option to start with low stats, it's so thrusting to see the same bugs over the last few games especially when you have a great race battle win and it suddenly shows the bottom 3 drivers on podium and everyone a lap down, the driver retirements dont seem to happen now in driver career mode, driver mistakes seem to have vanished especially in wet condition, drs is hit and miss at times, Red Bull is still OP as well as perez. You seriously need to listen to the players who spend there money and time on these games there is still no edit mode let us edit drivers stats and transfers to our own preferences this is something Fifa has had since 90s, bring back classic cars and tracks don't even care if it's a paid dlc, more drivers in the game we should have the chance to pick reserve drivers and all f2/f3 and more Icons. What I don't get is why you put Jamie chadwick in game I get you have to cater to all genders now but come on if your gonna add women drivers at least add the actual f1 academy drivers. What you need to do is take all the good parts from all previous games that fans loved and put it into future games.
- @Generalemergency It's just EA being EA.
I don't mind EA being the publisher, while codemasters takes the task of making the game by themselves. Just like F1 21, EA published the game, and the game was actually good, the only down being the removal of the classic cars. They had new damage model (even though the visuals changed when the full game got released), you finally could get engine failures. So the game was good.
The problem is that EA is pressing to get things the way they want to be made. And we all know that EA more recently just thinks about money, and when there is no more money from that particular game, they just give up on it.
Why do you think the game was published so early this year? That was most likely EA ideas. The game was never released so early before.
EA can easily be a better company if they actually listen to the customers they serve. But they don't. That's why I don't believe nothing being written here will be taken into account. However, I hope I'm wrong. - IanM2824 months agoSeasoned Ace
@TomasSlb24Have to completely agree with that. I'm not overly familiar with many EA games to be honest. But when it was solely just Codemasters making the game, it was night and day better.
If EA want to ensure some future success with the series, then I think they have to just let Codemasters get on with it.
The ideas that EA have drummed up and implemented are so far detached from what we all want in the game. They surely have to now realise it's just not working. Sales figures alone should tell them that quite clearly.
If they are serious in resurrecting the game from the depths it has plummeted to since they took over. Then they need to listen to the community and implement the changes we have come up with.
They of course can not please everyone, but a lot of what's been said in this thread alone is just basic simple stuff.
It is absolutely imperative that they get the basics and fundamentals correct for F125 and not come up with another gimmick and unrealistic nonsense that doesn't belong in the game.
How hard is it to create a basic helmet editor? By implementing one alone would be more welcomed by the community than F1 world and fanzone! Which are just a complete waste of time and resources. At second best at least create more helmet designs and put them in the store.
In my opinion they also either have to address the amount of game breaking bugs in the game or have a much faster turn around time for resolving them.
The QA testing for F124 was beyond shambolic. This also has to be much better for F125.
I really hope that people from EA are serious about reading this entire thread that has been created.
They have a great opportunity to turn things around for F125. I along with everyone else truly hope they do.
