yeah it’s impossible. I'm just a negative person on the forum.
The sound is generally poor. Onboard, on the track, it doesn't sound real anywhere, let alone immersive.
For me, the statement from the developers is just a statement that they tried something and now they don't feel like changing anything.
It sucks, but it stays that way because I don't want to invest any time in it.
Probably going to be an unpopular take... but I'd just like to point out that any changes made to the car have to be approved by the team, which means someone over at Maranello listened to the new engine sound and said it was better than the original one. So like it or not Ferrari themselves gave approval on it.

@lucacilf1leclercThey've already said that it's not going to change. I by the way fully agree with you. The Ferrari engine sound is atrocious since they patched it. I was rubbish before too upon initial release, but made even worse with the patch.
This is what annoys me so much, they push and prioritise pointless in game gimmicks instead of focusing on what actually matters more to the players.
How difficult can it be for someone in the development team to reimplement the Ferrari engine sound from either F122 or F123 as a remedial fix? Instead of developing more useless drivel!
