Fix AI tyre degradation/race pace

You really need to fix the AI tyre degradation and race pace! I play 100% race distance and it is beyond frustrating how the AI on most tracks seems to suffer a lot less tyre degradation and do faster laps than they did in qualifying. I'm 46yo and I think F1 2024 is the worst gameplay I've experienced in 30 years of playing F1 games. I'm so disappointed I have no more words 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

  • @stonecoldtez69 It's not degradation. The Ai controlled cars tyre temps are locked at optimal temperatures. We don't know for certain why. But most probable reason is that the Ai isnt able to cope with the changes to tyre temperatures and the effects to the cars handling. I'm sure the Ai could be trained to do so. But 20 Ai cars. All 4 tyres on each car temperatures can massively fluctuate and effect cars handling every lap over aFull race distance. I imagine would require to much processing power for current gen consoles and average PCs. They havnt fully integrated SophyAi into Gran Turismo 7 because PS5 lacks the processing required.

As your racing the Ai the best work around is to change type temps in settings for your car from carcass and surface to surface only. No it's not ideal but it mitigates a lot off the advantage the Ai have. They will still have little less wear because they Brake, accelerate and corner far smoother than humans can.

There is no point handicapping yourself against Ai.

@Pin6all It's surprising how many people refuse to. Rather rage than just set the game to a level that they enjoy.

Reducing the AI level just means that you’re overtaking opponents far too easily, only to get caught again a lap later when their temps and ERS are in a better state than yours. Rinse and repeat! That’s not fun for a 100% race. Reducing the AI is not the solution.
Finding an AI level that is just right for you is a challenge, and when you get it right, you’re really tested to keep up with them lap after lap until you can make a move. Nobody wants arcade like races where you pass 5 cars a lap. Problem is, the AI don’t suffer tyre overheating like the player does and this can fluctuate lap times for us causing a rubber band effect versus AI cars.
