Help - controller and TC

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I need some help: I’ve been playing since F1 2022, and now in F1 2024 I’ve noticed something. Playing at level 96, even if I set a good time in qualifying, once I get into the race and get overtaken by a car, I notice they pull away quickly and build a huge gap in no time. I feel like I can’t improve my lap times with my current settings. So, I decided to turn off the traction control. Actually, I set it to "medium," but I’ve realized that I’m not handling this new setting very well.

In a video by Jarno Opmeer, I saw that traction control "steals" a bit of your time, so I figure turning off that assist could help me improve my lap times and evolve in the game.

The problem is that I’ve noticed I’m having trouble with traction, and my car is sliding a lot, possibly due to the sensitivity settings on my controller. Could some kind soul guide me on how to configure my controller so I can better manage my car on corner exits? Can anyone suggest a new controller setup so I can improve my gameplay?

Thanks in advance for your help! Cheers!

  • @imaspes Increase throttle linearity to max will help accelerating out off slow corners. But also i suggest staying in a higher gear. For a 2nd gear corner, stay in 3rd will help maintain traction as you accelerate out.
