More content Needed

The game is seriously lacking in content was hoping for more challenges on f1 world to unlock driver helmets or more liverys it's just the same stuff xp and car parts surly they can at least put audi car on or or classic driver helmets. F1 23 had loads of different team liverys to unlock.

  • @JonnyGreen2018Agreed, the lack of content and customisation in F124 is atrocious. Not only do we have a game that's absolutely rubbish. They have decided to now remove race wear content from the store!

EA are slowly destroying this F1 franchise with their own gimmicks and absolute meaningless unrealistic drivel, to which they prioritise over the important stuff.

I’m off the mind F1 game has to much content:  F1 world for the most part is just a bunch off looter shooter mechanics shoehorned into a game they have no business to be in.  Who gameplay progression has nothing to do with F1 other than maybe the tracks. Cars I believe we use are the Player world car with livery designs that look terrible and designed by someone who has no artistic flair or what a livery is.    But to be fair we’ve only seen a handful off examples off their work.    Which brings me.  WRC  DLC has just been released.   Despite the rally games sell tiny numbers compared to F1 games..   The update includes 5ish cars. 2  rally events.  All included miles off new stages.  And lastly just to kick  us why we are down…over 50 real world livery’s have been added.

I wonder if there is a rivalry between codies dev teams.   Especially as F1 games get huge dev budget compared to WRC… It’s likeWRC devs dropped a DLC.  With all the features we’ve been begging for years.   Sending alittle passive aggressive sign that their much smaller and poorer team can give players what they want..

Although I’m not a rally guy and it was my first Rally game.   It’s so so much better and. Exciting.   Would like to see WRC team given lead on a F1 game.  It’ll be harder to them to make the game worse at this point

@ScarDuck14This is really interesting to say the least. If this is the case, then there is absolutely no excuse for the F1 development team and their turgid approach to the F1 game.

It could well point to some kind of in house rivalry for sure. Otherwise what is their excuse for releasing such poor content in the F1 series.

I too am not a huge rally fan, but at least the team who developed it actually seem to care and have by the sounds of it created a game to please rally fans.

Which is the complete opposite to what the F1 development team have done over the past few years. Which is create a bug ridden game with zero content and loaded it with pointless gimmicks like lampshades lights rugs F1 world and Fanzone.

Honestly I'm absolutely fed up with their whole philosophy regarding the F1 games. It's about time they realised this is NOT what people are asking for.

@IanM282 I only know one off the guys from Rally dev team. He’s never said anything that indicates they are more or less passionate that the F1 guys. Except I do know he’s extremely passionate about Rally and the games he’s
worked on. But it’s a funny thing. There were a lot off issues with WRC when it released: and had both Richard burns rally and Dirt 2.0 fanboys hating on it. But as it was my first Rally game. Cars handling was exhilarating and made you feel like a Rally God…. The game is most definitely not a hardcore sim.. Well kind off. If the cars didn’t handle like they do. You would never make it through a stage because one hand we are driving a beast off a car that feels good but not arcade. After playing for a few hours it was obviously deliberate: Give the player the ultimate weapon: Because to balance it out every inch off every single Rally stage. Over 500 miles in all. Would, could and did kill you just cause it could. When I finished my first stage win with any damage to be repaired I was jumping up and down and shouting at the telly . Havnt been that aggressively happy in years. And still when I play it now. I’m making weird little noises the entire time. Even when I fall down a mountain and to my doom Insite off finishing line…. You can only just giggle and jokingly call the devs naughty things. You can’t rage about it. They game me the perfect tool for job. They didn’t make the tree hit me… I hit it.

The shame is what you can tell from the game. They had a grand vision for the game. All the cars are there all the Events with the longest ever stages in a rally game (up to 30km). But what isn’t there are the little elements we like for immersion. The. Core game and gameplay is banging. But graphically it notices. To me but missed by many is it was made on an extremely tight budget. WRC team i truly believe would have delivered on their vision. If they had a development budget like F1games.. it’s sad for me people would say the game is unplayable cause the graphics are not great. I’m glad they are not. If something pretty caught my eye whilst at maximum attack through stage. That insignificant thing would have broke my focus and I’m rolling down another mountain 😂

@ScarDuck14A fabulous read, sounds like fun and I'm considering buying it to be honest. Used to enjoy watching the rallying back in the 80s. I fondly remember well going to watch a stage of the Lombard RAC rally back in 88 at a park in Harrogate Yorkshire. Great times.

Can you imagine what the team would do then given the same budget as the F1 team. Makes you wonder.

@IanM282 Also using a pad works really. Not because it was specifically designed to be. Just that rallying is alot of o do with quickly and aggressively shifting the car’s weight around: so aggressively Flicking the controller stick left and right instead off holding on to it making precise movements. As stick instantly centers .aftef a hard flicking so once learning to drive like a nutter. Just listen to copilot as you get used to the severity off corners and their assigned number. You know just how much flicking is needed. Same with brakes and accelerator: Don’t have to worry about precise and smooth. You’ll soon be finger dancing on them like riverdance. Game has 5 main assist categories each with 5 settings. So like 15 more than F1: but I kid you not with exception off RWD cars. It’s easier to not use them as they limit how sideways you can get. Eveni on snow.
