More impact of the timing for turn in at Pitstop.

As the title says it would be a small but good improvement to have more importance of when we push the turn in button - if we dont get full control in the pits. It could be like this:

Every tenth of a second the later you push the button the faster the pitstop will be. So if you push the button at exactly 0.0s it would give a 1.8s pitstop as this is very tough to time to perfection and each tenth earlier will cause the pitstop to be 1 tenth longer. So pushing the button at 0.5s will give you a 2.3s pitstop, button at 1.0s gives you a 2.8s pitstop and so on and all in between.

But should you risk it too much and get past the right point for turn in you will automatically get a ~4s pitstop

For better immersion the "counter" for when to turn in would be an assist and if you turn it off you would have no indication besides seeing your pitcrew in front of you, making it all the more risky to push the button as late as possible

  • @Meza994 I agree. Just to add alittle jeopardy I would would always try and hit 0.1. Occasionally I’d be late and cost a few extra seconds

    @ScarDuck14 Exactly..

    For multiplayer and especially Esports it could bring lots of jeopardy - most spicy with a bad netcode causing long pitstops without the players at fault lol..

    They could also implement it in the free practice and qualifying in laps that the player can push the turn in button and it will show you how close it was to perfect turn in so you can basically practice the turnin (for those doing it without the "countdown assist") and maybe spot some markers that work for you..
