AI need improvement in F1 24
On top of the issue of the AI not having retirements, etc. in F1 24 career mode, there are some huge opportunities for improvement with the AI for F1 25. Below I’ll explore some. Ai need to have the same playing field as the player - that is, equal tyre wear, equal ERS, equal fuel consumption etc. because otherwise it feels like you’re racing completely different spec of cars Ai strategies NEED more variation. It’s so boring having the, all pit within the same 1-2 lap window. We need some to do 1 stops, some to do 2, and heck even some doing 3 stoppers. More variation, keeping the race dynamic. Ai need to get track limits warnings, punctures and all other things players sometimes get. For some reason Ai currently are immune to these things which makes no sense. Ai need to make mistakes!!! We need them running off track every now and then and getting warnings, and track limits penalties PARTICULARLY at tracks where this is common IRL e.g. Austria. It is so boring having the Ai be so perfect, it takes away from any jeopardy. They also need to spin out, bin it into the wall, have brake failures (Charles Leclerc Monaco 2018 example) etc. At tracks like Monaco there should not be 20 drivers finishing every time. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO QUALIFYING, there should be crashes and lap invalidations from the Ai here too!! On this topic of mistakes, the Ai need to crash into each other more! E.g. Esteban Ocon sending one down the inside of Gasly at Monaco, this needs to happen with Ai. More human-like characteristics where they divebomb each other and the players every now and then, and perhaps cause crashes with each other, rather than all being so uniform and mundane. Can you imagine at turn 1 seeing one Ai send it down the inside at La Source of Spa on Lap 1 and taking out 4 other cars like in 2018 IRL? The drama, excitement that would bring! Knowing anything truly could happen every race, rather than it being a race between you and the half cheating half perfect all the time Ai. Ai need to take different racing lines to one another. Talk about being all the same and super boring…. When all the Ai take one uniform racing line it’s very boring. How about the Ai all take different racing lines based on their IRL characteristics? E.g. Zandvoort Turn 4 (the heavily banked left hander). Ai should NOT have such perfect grip in the rain. It is really disappointing seeing the Ai have near-perfect grip and zero sliding when on slicks on a wet track, and have almost the same pace as players on intermediates on that wet track. Not saying this would be easy, but is it achievable within one year? Absolutely. Finding a way to make the Ai more dynamic and interesting through the details listed above, would be a bigger improvement to career mode than any contracts or secret meetings feature could ever be.613Views10likes9CommentsGeneral customization on F1 24 (Community issues and requests)
Hello everyone, I am putting back this post concerning personalization which has already been discussed on the Forum ⬇️ ~ Summary of recurring requests and problems on this debate ⚠️ 1. Problem with racing suit liveries which have a shiny effect on them unlike official suits 2. An extremely limited choice of liveries on F1 24 compared to other years, whether for helmets, outfits, cars. So a customization which is always present but which is almost of no use because there is almost no choice to create your driver and your team 🤷♂️ 3. A very strong demand in the community for a livery editor for helmets and cars like what has been integrated into F1 Manager in order to allow players much more creation and freedom in this system 🎨 4. An idea to set up a community system that allows content from livery creators to be shared, which could be uploaded to the community. System present on other franchises 🌍 5. For helmet customization, a more immersive customization solution would be desirable for F1. The possibility of choosing the color of the visor, the location of the sponsors, adding the driver number on it as well. Being able to integrate different patterns or designs on it could finally make it possible to make a realistic and very well customized helmet. Also valid for cars ... 🏎 6. Finally a subject that has already been discussed for a long time despite the question of FOM and licenses a choice of helmets under Official licenses for career mode within a real team. The fact of being able to personalize your helmet but in line with the team you are joining, i.e. Official sponsors on it. Lots of examples on racedepartment.com. But something that remains supervised by EA and Codemaster. A rider who signs with Alpine should not end up with a purple helmet with nothing on it. 🏁 Here is a summary of what has been discussed recently on this forum but also on the networks, many are waiting for changes and developments in personalization and among them requests which have already been going on for very many years. Feel free to add ideas to this post, I may have forgotten some. I bought F1 24 on Steam, and it did not appear on my EA app library. Already linked my steam on ea, but the issue still occur. I want to play with my friend but he have the f1 24 on EA... It seems like F1 career mode is supposed to have some kind of menu in between races where you can upgrade the car and see team offers and such, however my game does not have anything like this and instead goes from the end of one race straight to the qualifying of the next. I’m driving for rb with Daniel riccardo. He has a perfect race always but when I drive it’s horrible. Just drove Japan in my driver career and I’m sitting p4 starting in p9 so I’ve made 5 places. Decided to pit late cause they said there was gonna be rain and to wait it out until the rain starts to put me on hards. I pit and they have trouble with the left rear tyre. Nothing too bad come out 16th. 2 laps later the rain is still going and they say “mate it might be good to come back to the pits and put on intermediates” so I wait for everyone else to and then pit. I’m p2 when I go into the pits and I come out with a good stop. I come out p17 and start racing again but i realise the grip is horrible so I look. I’m on mediums. They tell me to pit again and put on intermediates, the person behind me is 40 seconds behind, so I do. They then proceed to do a 12 second pit stop cause they couldn’t get the tyres on and I come out 19th. At this point 19th is last. And you’ll never guess. They put on soft tyres. I finish the race dead last and without my front or rear wings and a tyre on its last legs due to no grippiness. Poor experience - may be Steam related, but could not see the download opening nor installing. Sat at 0% for a few minutes. Closed Steam and restarted, it did then show up. 1.2GB download. Verified it okay. I don't play often (40 hours logged). Framerate was not obeying in-game 144 setting. Game was stuttering (Las Vegas), benchmarked NVMe and writes were down (3000 to 1900). Updated Magician and ran Storage Sense, restarted. Writes checked nominal (3000). DDU'ed (safe) and reinstalled 25.3.1 (also Radeon Super Resolution was showing as 'Inactive' - DDU fixed this). Game restarted and behaved fine, obeying in-game framerate and no stutter. Also updated UEFI today as there was an update (F19g)1.2KViews0likes0CommentsPlease improve replay audio
The pre recorded race replay audio is extremely upsetting. They objectively sound bad. The audio does not sync up with the cars. The cars all sound identical and it is just bad. Seeing how the new game will release soon I hope this isn't the case for the game. But it would still be nice to have 24 updated to include more samples so that he can better reflect the cars on track.15Views0likes1Comment
