I've bought the game every year since F1 2009/10 and used it exclusively for League Racing. I have to be honest, if I didn't run a league I would have probably skipped this year as I'm feeling a little ripped off having paid for the Champions Edition. It doesn't feel like value for money... There is less content than F1 23. Braking point removed, France removed, All livery and helmet customisation removed (just 1 of each available in the base game which is disgusting for a full priced game where customisation is a key part of a main game mode in MyTeam) Last year's F2 content (why do we need to wait 6 months for the current F2 content?) and finally a rather decent handling model that has been completely destroyed and replaced with the kind of handling from the mobile game. Codemasters/EA, this really needs to improve!!!! It's not a £39.99 game. You are charging players a hefty price tag for this and you need to deliver value for money!
If anyone is getting the game and wants to join a racing league then come check out SDG Racing League

I've gone back to F1 2020. Saw the gameplay and feedback from friends was enough to make it the first one I haven't bought, ever. I just kind of had a (late, I know) realisation that this series peaked in 2020, and after the EA acquisition it has just slowly gone downhill.
I've actually enjoyed it - and it has classic cars as well. And a half-baked Spa is much better than jammy handling and intolerable menus designed to coax people into purchasing unneccessary in-game items. Also, F1 2020 still had local pricing. I paid a quarter of the price for F1 2020 than F1 24 costs in my country - again, it was a better time for the franchise.
- Nellix821 year agoRising Ace@SDGMatt I too, like you, bought it for the championship that we organize with friends but it's the last one, they could promise the world, I don't believe them anymore....too far from f1reale, a game more for mobile than console......it's been 10 years since they use the same graphics engine etc and yet they always make mistakes but do you know your software? but there's no way in 2024 we're still that far behind, that's enough last f1 as long as ea/cm

You’re absolutely spot on with the game engine. Why are we still racing on an outdated game engine and being charged an extortionate amount more for it. How do they not understand the limitations of it and still release games year in tear out with the same old bugs.
Why are we not seeing the game make the most of the next-Gen consoles? We are they still supporting the Xbox one and PS4?? 😂This series has stagnated and the only new features that ever get released end up bugged and removed!! All EA seem to be doing is adding an IKEA simulator and adding a store to buy little digital shoes and hoodies for your main menu character 😂
Remember when they updated the damage model so you could destroy chunks of the rear wing visually? That was removed shortly after release! 😂
Red Flags last year didn’t work at release.
Dynamic Handling doesn’t work at release!
Current F2 season doesn’t get updated until 6 months after release! There is no reason to pre-order this anymore! You’re guaranteed an incomplete game and charged £89.99 for it!
Wait 2 months and you’ll find it pre-owner for £35-40 and it’ll probably have had about 10 patches by then…
- 1 year ago@SDGMatt I noticed that too! Only 1 livery and 1 helmet available and you can't even customize all the colors on it, what the heck is up with that???

Start a new My Team save and you can’t even create your own livery! 😂
£89.99 and the base game is empty!
Not even a couple of bonus liveries for pre-ordering…. They just gave you ones for F1 23’s Time Trial mode, a game that’s done!
Honestly whoever came up with that as a marketing strategy needs to be shown the door!!- AEF2511 year agoSeasoned Ace
For custom liveries etc. I wouldn’t mind paying a couple pitcoins if they had had stuff ready day 1. But that was the biggest flub ever.
And personally I hope they patch the game so assist players have a good experience but as for now I’ve gone back to 2021. I can’t recommend the game to my friends as is. I feel like I wasted my money for now.
