I'm glad it's not just me then. The handling now for controller players is a disaster!
I understand that they can't please everyone and we all feel different things. But honestly this is beyond terrible.
They have literally turned F124 into Mario Kart. Why on earth do they have to mess around with the handling model so much year after year when it's within the same regulations. Small tweaks is all that is needed when it's within the same F1 regulations.
What we have now with the latest patch is by far the worst handling model I've ever known in any racing game!
I personally now think this entire handling model is broken beyond repair.
Just tried it again, I am simply lost for words just how bad they've now made this on a controller.
EA/Codemasters, I thought this latest update according to your patch notes was supposed to improve the handling for controller players?
Question, did any of you actually test the new concept? If so surely you can now feel what an absolute disaster this is?

I don't know for sure if I improved in the game or if the steering on the PAD was better, with 0 assists and after 1.7 I'm feeling faster, but seeing the best control drivers complaining and thinking it's bad leaves me wondering if I've improved. and the handling got worse
It definitely improved those guys here just doesent know how to make a setup. Now you just gotta run more ride height less engine breaking and lower tire pressures on most tracks. I got from avg 2 seconds off from the top 1 with a race setup and tc on to avg 1.5 seconds without any effort while wheel players struggle to beat their previous best. They also in no thing as a steering assist if it’s turned on. I have so many hours I would definitely have noticed it. They all just upset that the handling got updated again that’s all

I've been setting cars up for +25 years in much harder handling models and more realistic games than this.
So the majority of people complaining (not just here) are all wrong and don't know what they are doing?

It makes zero difference to any setup changes. The handling for controller players now feels horrendous. Just look how many complaints there are.
