Penalty system must be reworked
There are many, many issues with the current system:
- Yellow flags on lap 1 get you illegal overtakes on the start finish straight
- Leaving the track without gaining an advantage warrants a warning
- 3 warnings = 1 penalty, when irl 3 track limits = 1 warning, next one a penalty
- Crossing the line on pit exit always gets you a warning, never a penalty
- Sometimes you get illegal overtakes on cars that have crashed
- This year the game often just cuts the timer for giving a place back, so you cant react
- Crashing into a car that has stopped on track or is in the process of crashing, will almost always get you a penalty (like Hulkenberg would've been penalised for hitting Perez in Monaco)
- Unfair defending is never penalised
- Blocking someone in Qualifying is not penalised
- I understand that having to tell a computer how to make human decisions is incredibly hard, but a lot of these are very much issues that can be solved fairly easily.
