So with the 1.7 patch Codies changed the controller handling. Here's the list of what they changed:- The game now autocorrects if you overangle the car into the corner, making you understeer off- Changed steering angles values, aka now you steer less making the gap to wheel even bigger- On traction there's also some sort of steering assist that makes the car steer less if you lose the rearI can't add a video to diplay it, because "the size is too high", but people at Codies look at any controller gameplay after this 1.7 patch and tell me if thats any goodCodemasters, revert the changes you guys made, the game is simply unplayable and unenjoyable

Honeslty it was fine for me on the 1.6 patch, like it was very enjoyable. as you say, it was bit op yes but powering it down in this way is too much. i get that f1 should be driven on a wheel, but for the casual players its a disaster

I think some of you need to take a look at your controller settings after this patch. I too felt the handling was terrible once I first played 1.7. Then I went in and adjusted some of my settings again and it actually feels good again. The steering in 1.7 feels less sensitive, so I adjusted that and it opened everything up for me again. Same with linearity. Few minor adjustments there and it solved alot of the poor feel. Don't just sit there sticking to default controller settings or sticking to what you had. The handling changed, so its natural to me that to get it to feel right to you that you should alter your controller settings again too. It worked for me. The weight/balance still feels a bit off, but that could be setup related too. Keep that in mind as well. But I actually like the feeling of TC in medium. First few laps it feels a bit over powered and like no slip is possible, but once the tires start to wear it's possible again. However when i completely disable traction control and after I adjusted my controller settings again to adapt to the new update the game actually feels good to me with no TC and actually feels playable with a controller.So before complaining like this so they make more mass changes to the system... if you haven't already go in and tinker with your controller settings in game. It just may make you appreciate it a little bit.

What I’ll say is that reverting the handling to pre-patch isn’t even the right answer, since people were still complaining about that one too. It definitely needs to be changed from the current version, but not back to something which people complained about anyways. You’re never going to please everyone.

I've done about 2 hours of testing tonight trying to adjust my controller settings to get the same feeling I had pre 1.7 but it's helpless. Steering rate, linerity and rotation changes do nothing good. I genuinely cannot play this game post 1.7. Please fix this as a matter of urgency!

Adding to the above, in high speed corners now you can steer a lot more and have grip at the front, like are we seriously back to the original handling which was complete garbage or what?

Actually controller deserve more nerfs, it is op. There need to be something with extra traction and abs and stability on controller that makes it too much strong.

Normally I'd agree, but controller with traction assists on 24 after 1.6 was ridiculously easy. I'm a wheel user, usually top 500 in TT and was matching my times on a pad with medium TC when I was just trying to do some simhub editing.
On 23 and 22 I'd have been about 6-7 tenths slower than my no assists wheel pace
