Re: [Feedback] F1® 24 - Share your thoughts

@DeItaOne3 Actually the reason it has been closed off is to allow all feedback to be in one place so that it can be found easier. Why have to search though hundreds of threads (which is time consuming) when it can all be put into one thread

Yes but the problem with doing that is that it kills that entire thread. There were 150 comments on that thread, which will now get entirely ignored by EA.

I’m sorry, but the way EA have handled everything, particularly this year, is a disgrace. You’ll struggle to find many people in here that disagree with that

That thread and others have been monitored and escalated to the Game Team constantly and they haven't been ignored. As @Cpayne32 said, a lot of messages get lost in 15 pages when a thread spirals with toxic comments, irony, sarcasm... Unfortunately, sometimes the legit feedback gets lost in all that.

Also, the threads may be a little old so they were a mixture of old and new messages. That's another reason why it is better to have a fresh start, to see the things that have changed and the ones that still need addressing.

Hopefully, we can track everything better here without having multiple threads.

If everything has been passed to the Game Team then that is almost more concerning; the lack of improvement or feedback on the points raised certainly gives the impression of being ignored. Communication on these issues is something that needs to drastically improve.

Further, having a thread per issue seems the more organised way of doing things, much like a folder structure on a PC. My concern with this thread is that things will get lost amongst a mess of dozens of different points and issues. This feels a little backwards.

I've played/pre-ordered all the Codemasters/ EA games from 2010 to present and it still baffles me a bit as why we don't have a helmet editor, even if it was just something simple where we can create are own designs.

The thing that's annoyed me most about this year's game is not long after release and before we got the handling model we have now the game got reduced in the sale, bit of a kick in the teeth to everyone who pre-ordered or bought the game on release, we would of been better waiting buying it cheaper in the sale and avoiding all the handling updates.

The new F2 cars are fun to drive I'm having a blast with them, even in cockpit cam.

Scenario mode could do with looking at. I don't understand how a player using lower ai then everyone else, full assists and completing the event sometimes between 20 and 30secs slower than other players using 110ai score more points. I mean you just have to look at the results from the past 3 or 4 scenario events to see what I'm talking about. Then that carries over into challenge career some weird scoring in that too which makes you think why do I bother playing it in the first place. You don't get a trophy this game either in email rewards for where you finish in the event.

Pro challenge this year you don't get the ghost car of the driver your trying to beat, you get bronze silver and gold times, no actual ghost car of Max at Monza, you never see him like you did in the last game.

I understand the podium pass has been nerfed to make it easier for people to complete, I completed the full podium pass in one sitting the other night, what do I do now? Yeah you can buy extra tiers with pitcoin (more money) but it's a bit too easy to complete now. Going to spend the next 50 days earning xp for nothing really.

I'm sure I could list some other things but I'm certain other posts will say what I would of said. What I've listed here is things than just come straight to mind for this post.

    @EA_GroguetHey brother hope you well.

Ok I’ll make this short. 😂

F1 world has got to go.

This game being series specific and content light. Is what it is. We don’t mind paying for it being light on content. But trying to monetise this game is not going to happen. There’s just not enough meat on it.. Plus these games generally appeal to older gamers that remember a time when games weren’t monetised and wont fall for such egregious attempts to empty our pockets so EA/ Codies need to admit defeat.

Except there’s one way to successfully monetise this game that nearly all off us would be happy to pay for. TRACK DLC. My idea would be for codies to pick 9 or so tracks that are not on that years roster. 3 months into game cycle drop a 2 track paid dlc and then another 3 months later. Following year do the same using different 4 tracks. This way players won’t have to buy the same tracks year on year as Codies can rotate the tracks and also have time to make updates to those tracks in the couple off years they are not in use.

Needs to add livery and helmet designer as part off the game. Codies have access to both NFS and WRC livery designers. Plus the one they used for F1 mobile game so shouldn’t be a huge issue adapting it for this game

Teaching the Ai needs a whole new curriculum. Ie the way it races us and eachother plus the damage model needs to go back to how it used to be. Which I reported last year and the dev team are well aware off. Last two years it’s gone backwards. Once a leading Ai in racing games will fall behind its competitors next year if it doesn’t improve. It’s soul destroying. 700-1000 hours every year I play this game. But because off the bad Ai. Last year just 350 hours and this year a shocking 44 hours and I’m done with it.(hence why I hardly post anymore.  Which will most likely please a few people) Compared to Cricket 24 that’s a buggy AA game at best. Last 2 months I’ve rather played that and put 300 hours in. No monetisation in that game and despite its short falls and a boring sport the gameplay is solid.

Codies should have prioritised my team over new career.

They need to find an away to make the career modes last longer. It’s currently ten years which would be fine but you get everything done in 3 years. In terms of how car update works. Max out a car be it human or ai controlled team should never be a thing. Should be ups and downs year on year.

    Needs a calendar customisation.

That’s off the top off my head.

I’ve been warning EA from the day I was made champion about the state off the game and players opinions off it.  As you know.  And said what needed to be done.   But as much as the community team were willing to engage with me.   It’s unfortunate those that make decisions at EA/Codemasters didn’t listen.  Ignoring my all knowingness 😂.

    # F1 crític

Selling tracks outside the calendar is a useful and intelligent way to monetize the game as it is useful for both players and EA, and the prices cannot be abusive in any way otherwise Otherwise, most players wouldn't be able to buy it. It's a shame that several iconic tracks aren't in the official game tracks like Nürburgring, Sepang, Istambul park, Valência street circuit And many others besides the return of classic cars that have to come back as soon as possible, it's absurd to pay full price for a game without the full content.

And another good idea would be for the community to choose a classic season per year to return to the game, for example they vote between the 2012 and 1990 seasons, let's assume that 2012 wins. Then all the tracks and drivers would return in a separate mode, of course this requires some development but it wouldn't be a big deal for a company like EA, they could put this as DLC or in the deluxe version

Is there anyway to disable notifications when players leave while in the middle of a race on ps5?

I was thinking of this since I just finished a season and was selecting the 16 tracks for the next one. Why is Portugal the only extra track in the game?

To improve replay ability it would be good to include some more.

Looking back to 2019, in addition to Portugal I think 5 other tracks were used and should be reasonably game ready graphically.

Russia, France, Turkey, Germany, and Tuscany. Could a deal be made to add them through paid DLC? Maybe not Russia given current sanctions but would the rest cost a lot of money to use?

Given the upcoming 75th anniversary maybe some old school tracks would be great, but I get how much more difficult it would be to include the original Hockenheim, Brand Hatch, Jerez, etc.

My youngest came home this weekend and played post 1.15 for the first time. It’s been a few months. Said the handling was great and noticed he had to lower the AI a bit but that the racing was very solid.

Problems in the german forums are ignored or answered with questions like "are you sure you bought the game" or solutions like "reset your computer". One of the main problems of this game is that outside of this english forum, the customers are ignored or handled as if they are idiots. I made so many topics about bugs in this games and how this game can made better, and all were ignored by the staff. Only when writing the same stuff here, then suddenly there is an "we noticed that". Also you are not allowed to discuss the patch notes in the german forum, the ntopic about it is closed always. And criticising the CMs for their bad work is also forbidden.

It’s not a new thing… I’m sorry, and I understand, and I start to feel uncomfortable myself when I read something like this…

at this time of the lifecycle of the game, i think we can assume that the obvious flaws of the game won't be fixed and that the useless CMs will continue to ignore the communi8ty.

The game is probably dead. Updates are no longer planned, at least not this year, and it has also been cheekily announced. No better sounds, no DRS cleanup, no rain in TT, no other wishes from the community, we're irrelevant if we've all already paid. There's no interest in improving anything anymore. Sorry, you can't leave any other impression. F1 is totally screwed up and the effort, at least in terms of the biggest mistakes, is too big, so * like F1 World and Fanzone have to distract us. Just below all canon. You really can't sink any lower. But it's so * up...

I mean I totally agree. However I did enjoy the handling after all the updates needs a bit more work but solid all around. Where they are failing majorly in my opinion is overall content I.E. items for myteam and mycareer, all game modes need revamped majorly career took a relatively good step they definitely have a good base to work off of now. A.I. was absolutely trash to the point of me only doing 1 single offline race now with my 192 hours of logged game time has came exclusively online doing league races and getting absolutely bulldozed by people in ranked races. They absolutely 100% need to get some kind of penalty system in for ranked I mean to the point of you cause a certain amount of accidents and rack up a certain amount of penalty points you get put into the penalty division to where you can only be promoted back to the clean divisions by having a certain amount of penalty free races completed.
