Agreed it definitely needs adjusting and updating. However I think they have bigger issues to resolve first, like handling for controller since 1.7 and AI DRS trains. Which are both a disaster.
Hopefully they are not gonna change anything in the handling for the wheel, as it's being perfect and should be prioritized over controller. AI DRS trains feel pretty much okay to me, AIs overtaking very frequently even in DRS trains.

Why should it be prioritised over controller players? Not everyone uses a wheel, there are many controller players as well. The handling should be changed so everyone can enjoy it. There should never be any priority either way. Just a handling model that works for everyone. What a single minded and selfish view that is!

Agreed
Because you can get the best results only with the wheel, because you can get the most realistic feel only with the wheel, because the wheel is being used for the Pro players, because Racing game is just meant to be played on a wheel as it's the best experience overall. For what you are saying, and obviously not everyone uses wheel but it's their choice not to have the immersive experience, I am not excluding controller or keyboard players as it's also a way to play a game and it should definitely be included. But Wheel should be prioritized over them, I feel sorry for you to feel offended by such statement. However, I am not trying to start any toxic chat here, it's just what's reasonable. So wheel in the first place, then try to adapt it to a controller as well without ruining anything about the wheel, that's what's right here. Do not punish the Pro players and those who want the immersive experience just because you want to play low-cost. So if there is a way to come up with something that works for everyone, fine, but if it makes it different for the wheel just to make controller better, then DO NOT do it. For logical reasons. Nothing selfish at all mate 🙂
- @IanM282 I would agree that wheel and controller should be equal however the view shared is not selfish as some players (myself included) only use a wheel so we can’t comment on using a controller.
I mean, it's a nice idea to have it equal, I am not talking from my perspective only ignoring others, but it's naive, you can never get the equal experience with such different devices, you can only try to balance it somehow.. and then I guess it needs to be compensated somehow and somewhere a little bit. Can you find a way to keep the wheel handling and improve controller one? That's great! But I am not sure if it's possible. And I tried racing with a controller, it's nowhere near the wheel experience. The difference is only if you are more casual player or if you want the advanced experience. And then - should we punish the second category to improve the first one? It's something I disagree with. And I feel like my worries about changing great wheel handling should be equal to complaints about bad controller handling, not to see only the bad perspective for the devs 🙂 Nothing negative there.
@MALLOLEPSZY They actually already released one performance update back in patch 1.3 and sometimes they only do one performance update per game so I'm not sure if they will do another one this year or not. It would be nice if they did a second one, but as others have alluded to, given the number of issues to work on this may not be the priority for the Devs.
If they decide to do a second one my guess would be that it comes out as part of the Sports Update which usually comes out in mid-October based on recent games.
- @TheRagebeard I think there should be. Compared to 1.3 the red bull should not be as far ahead as it is but as you alluded to, the game has more pressing issues on hand.
