I agree in big parts but for the AI is Varying like they drive in Bahrain fast and then they are in Jeddah much slower again. There is no Golden Middle so i think it needs a Rework. And very much People are talking about that. For the Brakes they arent bad but youre Locking up sometimes if you have the "Wrong" Setup. If you have the Right Setup theyre all extremly similar which is a bit weird cause every track have different Charasteristics. I dont hate the Game by any means im already used to it. But many things and aspects are hard to understand for others who were initially fast in previous games tho.
@IShadicAi are not affected by tyre temps… always locked at optimal temperatures. So I would suggest they don’t suffer as much wear either.

Am I misunderstanding this?
CM in that post you linked is saying the AI isn't affected by tire temps, and that's by design... what?
@allemands311 its been like it for years. Training Ai to be as good as it is in F1 games is extremely complex plus time and resource heavy. I’m taking an educated guess but having Ai manage tyre temps for every single car will create too many variables for the Ai to deal with plus. Not to mention melt most peoples console/pc processors down due to the demands it would require
SophyAi as a racing Ai is by far the best. But it’s still not been fully implemented into GT7 and it also doesn’t manage things like tyre temps etc
And Sony has poured humongous amounts of time and resources into SophyAi. Compared to what codemasters have the budget to doSo basically the Ai doesn’t know or isn’t trained to manage tyre temperatures. As all Ai cars behaviour is Identical. With small variations due to car performance and Ai driver performance ratings. Which don’t effect tyre temps to any real extent from one car to the next.
if tyre temps were enabled. On a track like Hungary. At some point during the race pretty much all Ai cars will have serious issues with tyres melting. Which would result in a matter of a few laps. All Ai cars not making a corner resulting in very least all Ai cars not being able to navigate all following corners and you’ll be lapping them for fun or worst they will all DNF due to crashing out
It’s Ai as smart as it’s getting. On limited time and budget there’s only so much it can do.
To be fair to most people who play the game. They are normal rational people who won’t notice or can’t understand why some tracks they have to drop ai difficulty. And not an obsessive like me. I put on average 600 hours into every game every year. Half off those hours will be in the first few months restarting a career over and over playing every which way. So in all honesty it’s only the few weirdos like me outside off the development team who know the game’s gameplay inside out
