What is going on with the game?

Dear Community,

I am relatively new here, so I am learning my way. In December 2023 I have purchased F1 2023 and was very happy with it. I was my first F1 game and I spent time playing it. I have preordered F1 2024 as I am huge fan of the sport and was happy to play the game. This game came with a very different handling. Fine, I understand. I have adapted and started building my laptimes. Then was the release 1.3 and all the records were zeroed in and gone. I had to start it all again. I played the game yesterday after a few weeks break and I think I had V 1.6 installed. My lap times were different, I saw that with the same set up the car is slower on the straight at Monza vs version 1.3. Today I have launched the game and see that I am not even on the leader board. No lap times at all. Everything is gone again. I see that I have V 1.7 now installed. Did it erase everything AGAIN? Do I need to start it all again? I see that my experience is 1 vs what it was yesterday (16 I think).

What is going on? Anyone's aware?

THANKS:-)

Software testing has test points to evaluate, reports on behavior etc. Were people signed up to evaluate specific features and performance and report back?

    Doesn’t sound like it.

So having an unstructured open beta test is really just doing the minimum - it IS just a preview that will get opinions, maybe surface some critical issue, and log some issues for later. A wasted opportunity at best

So as done, would not have really made much difference to what was released

Test management is a big effort. The right people need to be found, NDA’d, then issues managed, tracked and reported and ranked. EVERY software development effort compromises the testing schedule when development falls behind. Schedule suffers because scope exceeds resources. Mgmt sets those. But the core game features were not prioritised properly. Result - more shoes anyone?

But why? How many times this is going to happen? Why bother playing it if the leader board is being erased so many times? Maybe EA should just test the game before launching it and then let people play? Are you all ok with this? is this normal?

Do you even race or TTing all time bro? 🤣

F1 23 had just 1 leaderboard reset after 2 months.
F1 24 has already had a couple. It’s frustrating as our league asks drivers to submit TT’s for several tracks so we can allocate them to a tier. But the leaderboards keep getting wiped and typical lap times keep changing.
Let’s hope they sort the handling out soon!

Yes, they may hopefully restore the “TT history” in RaceNet, like it was in the past, so even if the leaderboard is wiped, it remains available the same somewhere else!

@SDGMatt they will never be able to do anything they hang on the lips of those in Esports who run in a childish way.....I'll just give an example it was beautiful at the beginning of the game you blocked you flattened the tire you had to make 3 stops even in the 50% then the little Esports kids complained now you have tires that are ridiculous....bugmaster mobile game apt names stop nothing to add
