@Meza994So what happens when we get new F1 regs? The content still comes out annually. They don’t give you last years F1 cars to use for 5 months until they patch in an update… It’s not much for ask for a premium priced £89.99 game. They have to live up to that price tag
The game is of course called 'F1', not something more general including F2. Selfishly I'd be quite happy if they dropped F2 entirely to focus on making the F1 experience better. Obviously loads of people are interested in F2 so not really suggesting this but there are reasons that the situation is different for F1 and F2 content.
- SDGMatt1 year agoSeasoned Ace@Ultrasonic_77 The game IS of course F1, you are right. But F2 has been included over recent years because fans expect an immersive career/MyTeam mode, and that includes progression through the formulas.
They could even include F1 Academy, since this is an F4 car, with F1 branding for its championship, and would perhaps encourage a few girls to play the game.
F2 and F3 are a spec formula, meaning the developers would only really be creating 2 extra cars and handling models. You can’t tell me that this is too much to expect from the studio, when Codemasters have done this as far back as the Xbox 360 era, when they were a MUCH smaller team, by creating a bunch of classic cars for F1 2013. The MotoGP games have included Moto2&3 for well over a decade.
Codemasters also spent time and resources creating several Supercars which have a vastly different handling model to the open wheel formula cars. These were even given their own modes and time trials. So asking for an up to date F2 car and the inclusion of an F3 car is not too much to ask, especially when the game has almost doubled in price over the last few years.
F1 24 had braking point, supercars, all the customisation items, Paul Ricard Circuit etc all removed, but we were charged even more this year…. Don’t accept content being stripped back. Demand more! You’re paying for this! - Nellix821 year agoRising Ace
they lost 35% at the sales launch, let alone gradually given the scandalous game they played....

I confess, I love playing F2. If I start a new career, or sometimes just to have some fun, I race F2

It's bad when the F2 is so much better than the F1, in what's supposed to be an F1 game.
They have themselves to blame regarding a significant downward trend in sales. I have absolutely zero sympathy considering the absolute trash that is F124 and the extortionate price they charge for the worst copy and paste they've created.
