Why only 3 helmets?

@IanM282 This post should be pinned as I have it. The demand is very strong and hoped for by the community but as we are talking to a wall apparently we still have the same point on content and personalization

@DavidLld33Agreed mate. What absolutely bedraggles me is they don't seem to realise that this unpopular decision they've made regarding the helmet debacle will come back to bite them big time.

Sales are way down for F124. So their marketing strategy is to remove basic helmet designs, completely and blatantly ignore and disregard all those requests to everyone who's bought the game over many years.

All this does is damage sales for F125, it's absolutely laughable that they can't see it and continue down this blinkered path.

Good luck EA for F125!

Yes, this F1 24 was the last straw.

Frankly, it's good that our complaints go back to the developers, but seeing the time pass without any action on their part is no.

Leaving your community like this without real or concrete answers is not acceptable.

And as I said, we are on a demand for content, for personalization not for a graphics engine or manipulation which I think is much harder or even impossible to implement during an F1 opus.

If he can't do that, it's still serious. F1 25 we will have to work a lot because the loss of the franchise is coming soon even with a MAX or a LANDO to promote the games, without the community so for us the games are no longer.

@IanM282 It has already been said and despite the excuse of licenses which just look at the independent creators of MODS on Racedepartment.com.

Real helmet liveries for the official teams in career mode for example, I saw the Ferrari Miami livery, the Mclaren Senna of Monaco, which were made only a few days after these grand prix by guys who aren't even part of it.

It's serious, on the Official F1 games that only 2 or 3 helmets are offered after a few months.

And then they dare to tell us that there was a little content thanks to the events. Seriously ? 🤡

I had preordered a lot of the  games since 2017. I skipped 2023 for a petty reason, I didn’t want to look at Verstappen on the cover. But I think I may never pre-order an F1 game again. 

What would be the point? Pitcoins to spend on non-existent customization? Since I don’t race online, all the junk in the never ending Podium pass is useless. Who cares about fake sponsorship?

This far in I can only say I feel I way overpaid for this game. I never felt like that before. 

@AEF251 Yes, the problem persists and no feedback from the developers even if the community managers are present.

Pitcoins are completely useless on F1 24 given the lack of content.

Just maybe sell the dream to players who ordered the champions edition.

I guess what really bother me is the trying to get me to play their F1 World and spending to turbo the podium pass. Which I could be tempted IF the items were worth it, so far the liveries, badges, helmets etc. are not F1 quality. 

And really why the F1 do I need to play some subgames to have a proper MyTeam experience or give my custom driver a decent lid? 

I’ve tried hard to be patient but it’s clear they misread their customers.

EA have already lost my pre-order purchase going forward now and I know a lot of other people that will do the same.

I'll buy all their F1 games for buttons, months after release once they come right down in price. Having said that, if F125 is the same shambolic calamity as F124, I'll not be buying it at all!

They should not have gone down this unpopular route of treating their loyal customers this way with a blatant lack of helmets and other content.

Huge sales slump coming for F125!

F1 25 will be marking the 75th anniversary of the F1 championship, would be shame to not create a proper game to mark the occasion. 

How about pinning this post on the forum ?

A subject that is widely talked about and which shows the immense distress of the community regarding content, customization, liveries ?

We have already arrived in September and no responses from the developers or changes apart from a few events to unlock 1 or 2 items.

Are we really going to have to wait until F1 25 to see a real change seriously ?

Is the difficulty of adding quality content and liveries so complicated ?

This post is the perfect example of our frustration, not to mention this subject that is hanging around on the networks when what exactly are the developers waiting for ? @EA_Groguet  @EA_Vendcera @CM_TGK 

Previous versions had a lot of stuff, some were to buy, some to get in oodium pass but even without that there was a good kix. Where did it all go?  Did EA lose the license to the stag head emblem for my team for example? 

But I saw that podium pass eventually will give me a butterfly if I play for 12 years and turbo boost. 

The biggest complaint has been that people who paid £89.99 for a pre-order were given 18,000 pitcoin and there was NOTHING to spend it on….

EA’s solution: Add ONE awful looking Helmet, suit, glove and car livery that costs 18,000 pit coin to buy! 

How PATHETIC!! 

EA/CM for the first time in 15 years, I WILL NOT BUY F1 25! I won’t waste my money. 

A 7,500 pitcoin helmet?? How disrespectful to your players!!! What a slap in the face. Pure greed! 

@SDGMattSame here I will NOT buy F125 if it turns out the same as F124! I also know a lot of other people that have said the same.

The complaints here regarding the total lack of in game customisation are massive. Even more on social media.

I actually wonder if they read this feedback and what they think of it?

Surely they can see just how unpopular this decision was to completely decimate the store of basic helmet designs to buy with pit coin.

There are developers out there who could absolutely destroy this pile of garbage we currently have. And without any doubt in my mind would provide the fan base with what we have been asking for and more. Which lets face it isn't a lot!

F124 isn't worth 9 pence nevermind £90!

I hate to say the changes will only come when we stop playing and buying the game. EA will abandon the genre or F1 will give the rights to someone else and it starts over with a new Codies running the show. 

Season 3 is probably their last chance at giving customization before everyone walks away.

I primarily play single player and paying real money for a helmet for my single player career mode is forking ridiculous.

There used to be more than ONE free helmet. Most of the customization items in podium pass are behind the "vip" paywall. It's absolutely pathetic.

Also it's 2024 there needs to be a helmet/livery design tool or something. There needs to be a community creations thing like with 2K games or Forza Horizon.

Seriously, you can't even change the colour of the NUMBERS on "custom" cars.

I hope they have learned their lesson going forward for F125 and beyond. Without doubt by now we should have a helmet editor, even if it's a basic one. This for me is an absolute minimum requirement of any good F1 game.

But even without that, at least keep the same options in the store. I'm absolutely flabbergasted in what they did in F124 regarding helmets. It's absolutely unacceptable.

EA, if you happen to read this, the resources used to create F1 world would be much better used to create a helmet editor and better customisation options.

It must be so easy to design, program and implement it into the interface of the game.

Additionally the amount of people that have been asking for this over the years, I've lost count.

It's annoying because I have used the same helmet design and colours for 3 years now. I made that my signature helmet in league racing. It was recognisable to me when watching the highlights back.... But it was removed for F1 24.... Why??

At least in F1 23 it was in the "Store" so i could buy it on Day 1....

This topic has some real momentum and it's clear that this is one of the biggest frustrations besides the poor handling. Yet there is no response from EA/CM/Devs?? Silence!! 

I guess we’ll see Monday if they listened. They claim new store items.   

With the current podium pass I snagged a nice butterfly to use as the logo for My Team.

Podium pass will be the usual, add a helmet at level 1, but lock it behind the VIP paywall. And then add a second helmet at Level 47 that only the unemployed and those that grind the game all day every day will ever unlock 😂

I think season 3 proves EA and Code Masters don’t give an F1 about their customers. Some pig or portable radio badge, a half decent helmet and nothing else for customization in My Team.

This to me now completely sums up EA. They had a golden opportunity to make amends regarding more helmet choices. And this is what they have given us.

They are clearly more focused on creating more pointless drivel like fan zone rather than focusing on what everyone has been asking for.

Fan zone! Who on earth actually sits there and thinks this will be a popular feature, when there are still massive issues that are affecting the game. It bedraggles me to actually try and understand the purpose of it?

Eerily prescient. Podium pass has exactly that but mostly behind the VIP glass. 

The store got 2 helmets- not bad, gloves, a livery that is the typical fare but not quite your price point. 

Given the badges in podium pass and the store, I am guessing they’ve checked out.
