Will F1 2024 have crossplatform play for older gen?

I have a PS4 and a friend of mine told me that F124 will not allow us to play against each other as he has an Xbox, can somebody confirm this? If that's the case then i wouldn't be buying the new game until i get a PS5 or PC

While nothing has officially been confirmed for f124, i expect it will be the same as F1 23 so you should be able to play together
