Wheel rotation glitch F1 24

Hi guys

over the last week since the new patch came out. I have noticed when I come out of the pits in qualifying my wheel rotation doesn’t seem to match the settings. I have my wheel settings on the game set to 340 degrees. Yet sometimes when I leave the pits it sets it to maximum degrees, meaning the steering is really slow and won’t rotate properly. I a clip of the issue to Twitter in which others have had the same issues. My wheel is a Thrustmaster T300 but others are saying they’ve had it on the G29 and fanatec wheels too.

I’m hoping this can be fixed soon. I league race and so this causes a fair few issues with AI rules etc,

thanks all

  • Hi guys thought I’d update with a solution.

if you pause the game, go to the controller settings, disable and enable your wheel. It’ll keep all your settings so don’t worry about losing them all. You’ll get full control again.

This exact same thing happened to me today. Exiting the pits in Quali, suddenly the in-game wheel barely rotates.

Even restarting the wheel didn’t work, I had to enabled another wheel setting and then setting back mine and it worked.

Truly awful bug, can completely ruin a league race.

Fanatec DD Pro, latest firmware, PC, game updated.

  • No, it hasn't been fixed as of today...
On PS5 with Thrustmaster T248 (all settings set correctly) the first time I go out on the track every time I start the game it is done with the default setting of rotation degrees (400º), when my setting is always that of the virtual steering wheel, that is, 360º. It is solved by simply pressing the pause button and when resuming the degrees are already correct but it is very annoying that it happens since the game came out.

  • GOOD MY FRIENDS. WHAT CONFIGURATION DO YOU USE ON THE G923? THIS DEFAULT SETTING IS HORRIBLE. COULD YOU GIVE ME THE GRADE OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND HOW MUCH FFB IS USING

Hi! Any chance you can escalate this?

It happens every online race for me. I’m using Fanatec GT DD Pro on PS5.

The issue gets fixed only if I disable/enable the wheel settings a couple of times from the in-game settings or if I unplug/plug the wheel a couple of times. That’s not viable during league races..

The person who opened this thread fixed their problem. Could you open a new thread giving us as many details as possible to send for investigation?

    Thank you,

  • Hi,

In my case i have 2 identical setups for me and my brother in my house.

    2 ps4 slim

    2 Logitech g29 racing wheel

We play in LAN mode (not in online word)

First i turn on the ps4 with the original dualshock controler, because we use a wired headphone on the controller.

Then i turn on the wheel.

Then we open the F1 2024 (fully updated)

Then he create a host on LAN mode.

    Then i enter his race.

Both our wheels are set the maximum rotation to 280°

Then we bouth already can see that the wheel is turning more than 360°, maybe about 400°.

To fix, we have to enter the race, then retired.

Then when it leaves to race setup again, my wheel (the guest) its fixet, its turning only the degrees is in my configuration. But the host still not, then he leaves the LAN going back to main menu, then the F1 puts me to be the host because he left, then he enters my LAN host. And then when he enters his wheel fixed to, turning only the degrees configurated.

This hapens every single time. We play every dai, and lost all this time doing this every day.

    Product: F1 24
    Platform:PlayStation 5
Please specify your platform model. Sony PlayStation 5
Summarize your bug After starting up the game, the first online session (didn't try offline) even if it's a qualifying or a race I get the following bug: The wheel doesn't fully rotate/turn. No matter how much I turn the wheel, the in-game wheel never fully turns, only about 60-75 degrees. A workaround for this is to unplug the wheel and plug it in again, sometimes it fixes itself after the 1st try, sometimes I need to unplug it 3 times. Another workaround for this is to go under settings -> force feedback calibration -> disable the wheel settings and enable them afterwards. Again, sometimes it works after the 1st try, other times I need to do it 2-3 times. After the wheel is fixed, I don't get this bug again until I restart the game.
What is your 16 digit Report Code?
What peripherals are you using? Please list the exact make and model. Fanatec GT DD Pro with Boost Kit
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider?
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Multiplayer
Did you have cross-play enabled? Yes
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Connect a wheel and go in an online session, fully turn the wheel left or right and check if the in-game wheel fully turns as well. I use a 360 degrees rotation.
What happens when the bug occurs? The in-game wheel doesn't fully turn, making it impossible to drive slow corners.
What do you expect to see? The wheel turning/rotating as expected.

@EA_Groguet  I created this new topic for more details, as you suggested here Previous topic for this bug

The guy that initially reported this mentioned the second workaround (disable/enable wheel settings), but that's not a solution, there is no time to do that after an online league race starts. Other guys from a league I race in experienced this with a Logitech G29 as well, but their wheel only turns 10-15 degrees.

Please investigate this, it's impossible to race, the workarounds are not real solutions during league races.. statements from other people can be found in the previous topic.
