Reporting on my experience with tyre temp/wear at the Saudi GP in career mode, on 100% distance. I am driving Ferrari (upgraded to be 3rd best car somewhat behind McLaren and Red Bull) and set my car up to be gentle on tyres but still within a tenth or two of Charles LeClerc in qualifying.
I completed the race with 2 stops, medium stint one 46% wear on front right highest number 18 laps, stint 2 mediums 43% wear front right 20 laps and stint 3 softs 41% wear front right 12 laps. Top teams AI did either medium, hard, hard or medium, medium, hard.
I came 2nd, 9 seconds behind Norris and 5 seconds ahead of LeClerc. Verstappen would've won but had an engine failure, so I was on target for 3rd. I use a wheel and typically would rate myself as a smooth driver capable of consistent laps (1-2 tenth spread), I dont use ABS or traction control.
