Thank you very much for your report. This is quite a difficult issue to reproduce, so I'll need to ask you a couple of questions:
- Do you have any action maps set?
- Do you have Steam setting for controllers on or off?
- Can you give us a little bit more information on the setup you use?

- by action maps do you mean 3rd party software to remap buttons? If so, then no.
- On (default settings, Xbox controller)
- Microsoft Xbox 360 wired controller, steering rate at 160, steering saturation at 50, everything else at minimum, Y button to shift up, X button to shift down.
This is a really random bug, sometimes the game works fine, sometimes controller doesn't work on track.

Thanks for the report and for coming back to me so quickly!
By action maps, I mean what control scheme you have set up in F1.
Can you also see if you still have keyboard control?
Could you also attach a Dxdiag?
Finally, if you can get a screenshot of your Steam setup, that might help.

I'm attaching screenshots of my controller settings.
As for keyboard, there's something odd with F1 25. Usually when I load the game keyboard doesn't work, but if I press the windows key and click the F1 25 icon on the taskbar then I can use keyboard.
I haven't had this bug happen in the past week, but whenever it happens again I'll see if I can attach the Dxdiag thing.
