EA keeps discriminating against some Italians in F1 25

Completely ignoring my post, EA continues to discriminate against Italians with the last name "Caputo", an Italian surname so common that even living in the US, I have hundreds of people with it in just my state, and I don't live in New Jersey or New York, so imagine how many must live there.

While it's a good idea to not allow names that are offensive on purpose, this is clearly not the case. Just because a string of letters that are part of said last name are offensive in one language doesn't mean the full name is.

So it's outrageous that Electronic Arts continues to discriminate against a large part of the Italian population and descendants of Italians around the world, just because part of that name is an offensive term in Spanish.

I was outraged to see this in F1 24, and even more outraged to see it in F1 25, because it's been a few weeks since I reported this, and someone at EA should've edited the list of forbidden names by now.

I think you have a good idea, but not what you mention exactly. The filter should check for character casing, so nobody could type like you said caPUTO, because that wouldn't be the last name, and obviously trying to highlight the bad word in it. That in itself would take care of what you mentioned, but the truth nobody would put your example because that word is slang for gay men in Spanish. And it's not as bad as the word that starts with F is here in the US for gay men. I mean, I can tell you from having lived in South America for 30+ years, hardly anyone uses it as an insult, and there is an equivalent for the F word that would be more insulting.

Well, I was hoping EA would come to their senses, but it was absolutely pointless:

"Having reviewed your report, we found that the filters are working as intended in this case. While your specific concern may not fall within the scope of our content filtering system, your feedback is still valuable to us as it helps us understand our players' experiences and find areas where we can improve."

So EA is happy to discriminate countless thousands of Italians and descendants of Italians with the last name Caputo because the last four words are slang for "gay man" in Spanish. Bravo, EA, bravo. Same typical corporate BS as everyone else, copy paste response giving me the finger, but at the same time, telling me how valuable my feedback is. What a load of crap.

True, along with a case of covering their own **bleep** as much as possible.
