In past titles, F2 (& Icon) drivers simply picked a random (unused) number whenever they've been signed into F1 on each save, and it does not affect their F2 numbers, so it's especially weird that this year is different, and in a way that is conflicting with one another.
Or, the better solution is to just let the player decide for them (at least when they're signed into your MyTeam), like how we could with our custom driver.
Guy has clearly never played enough of past titles to know, would rather suck up and defend EA for their laziness this year.
