F125 is a massive improvement.

Question

I'm just a casual player using a controller playing two player career since F121. Last year's game F124 was beyond dire in every department. So much so that myself and my friend who I play with have completely abandoned it and never even started a two player career.

It's great to see that both EA and Codemasters have listened to the feedback from the community and implemented the changes needed.

The handling for me personally now on a controller is just perfect. It's just the same as F123 but with a slightly sharper front end. The difference in driving enjoyment from last year's disaster is night and day.

Please DO NOT do the same thing as you did last year with a patch for the handling and completely destroy it again. It's perfect as it is in my opinion.

One of my biggest gripes last year was the helmets or lack of. I have to say the helmet designs in F125 are worlds better than 24. Some of them look like real ones with the fictional sponsors and designs in general. It's good to know that EA and Codemasters have listened to the heavy criticism from 24 and made a scismic improvement for 25, in this area, thank you.

The AI have also massively improved from 24. Last year's game was probably the worst AI I've ever experienced. Their spatial awareness was zero with constantly locking wheels with you. I have not experienced that once so far. Huge improvement.

I've only done two races so far and I really enjoyed racing against the AI, especially with them doing different race strategies, really mixed things up more.

The engine sounds are also improved, especially the Ferrari. Last year's Ferrari engine sound was diabolical. It sounds to me like they have maybe implemented the F123 Ferrari engine sound into F125, which is a great move, or at least it sounds almost the same.

I haven't yet tested the wet weather, I'm hearing a few negatives on that, saying the AI are overpowered in the wet. If this is indeed an issue let's hope it can be fixed soon

F125 is a massive improvement in every department possible so far. Is it perfect? no but we now have a great base game going forward. Thank you EA and Codemasters for improving the game for this year. I hope some lessons have been learned.

After a challenging year, it feels amazing to see that all the hard work has paid off and you have seen "massive improvements"!
As I always say, all types of feedback are welcome on our boards. It doesn't matter if it is negative or positive as long as it is constructive. This wouldn't have happened without all of you who openly shared your thoughts with us!

Last year I had a lot of gripes, this year far fewer. The wet weather, and wet/dry is awful. Not that it would fix the problem but had they let us turn off weather for career and my team it would be a work around until they find a fix.

My Team liveries are still awful. They had decent ones in 2021 so I know they are capable of good designs, they just refuse to include them.

Emblems are better, helmet and race suit choices are mostly rubbish. Too much F1 World focus. Little things like the picture of the factory in my team does not take on the colours or emblem of the team you are running show an inattention to detail which permeates the game.

The victory calls and poses are silly, I guess they think we are an immature bunch that find these things funny. I half expect jokes about flatulence in the next podium pass.

But overall, much better than last year.

I remember way back in the late 90s / early 2000s when you would overtake the F1 AI down the main straight, only for them to ram you from behind at the next corner (Ha! Ha! Ha!). So, you had to overtake them and try to get a large enough gap before the corner. It was "hold your breath" stuff, as you waited for the inevitable SHUNT from behind 😁

I am glad to read that the AI is even better (more realistic) now 👍
