The release date for the standard edition is 3 days later than the iconic edition so surely that is a benefit in itself.
The dates are final and won’t be changed so my only advice is to be patient and wait a few more days

- I'll be patient when I die.
- It's ridiculous to have the game ready to go to the point where people can pre-load it and make us wait until Tuesday when we have the whole weekend ahead of us. If anything, it would be better for EA, because the more people playing the first build, the more bugs will be found and reported, and they can fix more of them before the main release date.

Well if they let people play today, then they would have had to open pre-load up on Tuesday, which means you would have made this same thread wanting to play then... so would you just prefer they don't allow pre-load & early access?

Pre-load (which should be really called just download) was open for several days before yesterday. I don't care about that. My point is that it would've been great for people who pre-ordered the most expensive version to be able to play during this weekend, rather than Tuesday during the work week.
