“Decal” editor…. Not “Livery” editor. Let’s be real. They’re letting us change the colour of the same old copy and paste fictional sponsors, that have been in the game for a few years now, so they won’t clash with our chosen livery.
On the subject of Liveries, they’ve made a big song and dance over “My Team 2.0” and their fancy new menus, and some renamed existing features being passed off as new, like how you earn acclaim… But none of that will matter if the game launches with just ONE livery available to players, even people that have paid extra for the Iconic Edition, just like it did in F1 24, meaning anyone excited to load up and start a new My Team on Day 1 will be forced to use the same generic livery as everyone else, taking away the fun of creating and customising your own team! Even the store was empty on F1 24 so we couldn’t even spend that 18,000 pit coin. (Couple of weeks out from F1 25 and I still have 20,000 pitcoin unspent)
Then, of course, when you’ve created your team, and navigated all the new menus, you actually need to PLAY the game and take these cars on track. These fancy new menus and calling it a My Team 2.0 won’t mean a thing if the racing and handling model is just as poor as F1 24…..
I’m disappointed that after the disaster that was F1 24 and the player feedback (our league lost almost 50% of its drivers because they hated the game and didn’t want to race with it) that they didn’t make the first “Deep Dive” a reassurance that the handling and racing had been addressed to encourage those players back!
I sincerely hope, as someone who has played this series religiously since F1 2010, that they haven’t just spend a whole year’s development on some new menus and braking point 3. This is an F1 “racing” game and the “racing” side of this series has stagnated in recent years.
