I am deeper in to my first season now and find MyTeam very strong in many ways. Since I am not bonded to the drivers I find my focus more on what is best for the team in the long run. I chose to alternate who I drive as each weekend, so maybe the lack of attachment is partly my fault. There are no trials or tribulations other than me not having 2 parts to allocate and maybe my drivers hearing that I am negotiating with a different driver. But the i pact of these things don’t seem very big. No one throws a fit (at least not yet), no agents leaving threatening messages, and no press reports telling me what my drivers might be thinking.
The icons are a funny thing, the old drivers look too old to drive (Brad Pitt looks ancient). The Braking Point drivers are there and so are some esports drivers which I don’t care about. Maybe if I sign a driver I personally like a might bond more with someone.
The lack of customization is still a weakness, and the wet/dry imbalance really is a problem but the racing is better, the handling is better and My Team requires more thought, planning, and attention to detail. All in all I really do recommend the title, but understanding that it isn’t perfect but maybe closer than they’ve been in a long time.
