Safety Car Suggestion

Why don't you just disable the SC if you don't want to drive behind it? Or switch it to broadcast mode instead of immersive?

We all want new features, but ones that makes the player play less of the game is not really the way to go. 

The only thing that annoys me about following the Safety Car is that no matter how aggressive you are with weaving, braking and accelerating, it just has zero effect on the tyre temps. 

To each his own...

Safety cars are part of racing and I like to shift strategies, that's all good. What I dislike is the time it takes to get back to racing.

Example: Did you ever got in a safety car period in a wet race in Belgium? It's like 5 minutes per lap, and you do at least 2 if not 3! Then it goes to broadcast and surprise surprise they pitted you when you already did so yourself. Or the order as shifted for some reason, people ram into you etc. Not much fun. It's too chaotic. Takes way too long. Especially for casual online racing. And I agree with you for the tires (impossible to get heat into them).

Would just love to see an "express" version where we go back to racing faster.

In my league race on Sunday at Abu Dhabi, we had a SC late on that only lasted 1 lap and came back in before the cars had even bunched up.... I had to check I wasn't playing F1 2021..... There was still a good few laps to go as well, so it was surprising to see it end immediately.

But it would be nice if we could actually see the crashed car being cleared and not just disappear whilst the cars are left going round a clear and empty track for a few more laps, but maybe that's something for a new game engine. Pretty sure F1 games from the early 2000's had animated Marshalls clearing a crash.

Perhaps include a setting that allows players to choose whether to let lapped cars unlap themselves too!
