Another thing about numbers

Hi guys,

first things first, believe it or not, but I started to play F1 2021 again. I want to give the game a second chance to prove itself.

However, starting a new career save gave me a valuable insight about the driver numbers. As we know, the My Team Icons all have a set number, and from what I recently saw, these numbers are inaccessible once you activate the My Team Icons, which is fine with me, as you probably wouldn't use an icon up until say Season 3.

Now here's the thing: If Nico Rosberg makes the Icon roster for F1 23 and he gets the 6 as a set number, it would be super cool by Codies if they still allow us to use the number 6 if we disable the My Team Icons when starting a My Team Career, because that's how it worked back in F1 2021, as for example the 23 (Rosberg), 41 (Senna) and 91 (Michael Schumacher) are not usable when enabling the My Team Icons.

Obviously, we still should be able to use these desired numbers that weren't used by any real life driver in Solo and Multiplayer modes, and also in Driver Career. I'm only saying this because I saw that in F1 22, the 9 isn't available despite Nikita Mazepin not even being in the grid. Not that I care about the 9, I never used that one, but I'm referring to all other numbers that the My Team Icons use, and especially the 6.

Let's hope for the best and see what happens with F1 23.

Good day,

Nico

@Cpayne32 Obviously not. Since Jules Bianchi had the 17 when he passed away, I don't think that this number will be available ever again.

@LuckyNico92 Yeah it shouldn’t be. It odd that they didn’t have that for Senna unless they did and ive just not noticed that

@Cpayne32 Back in the day, F1 didn't have that personal numbers thing. In those days, the team of the defending world champion would have 1 and 2 (0 and 2 if the last year's world champion retired from F1, best example Damon Hill in the 90s), and then the numbers are given based on the Constructors Championship position from last year.

Since Ayrton Senna passed away in Imola 1994, the whole personal numbers thing didn't exist, and therefore there's no reason to restrict the number he ran back then. The only time where this is a thing nowadays is the 19 in F2, which Anthoine Hubert had in Spa before he died in that monster crash with Correa.
