To further explain how blue flags sit on the ground: - A flag marshal is usually informed by the race direction via radio that the leading car is number XX and that car number YY is in front of him and will need to see blue flags. So when YY approaches the checkpoint, the flag officer needs to wave the blue flag for him. (and, or, in Formula 1 there is also the blue flag on the panels that F1 brings to all races and that are controlled by the Race Direction. These, since 2018, are showing the number of the car to be run in blue on the screen so that the driver finds out easier, he is the one who will be overtaken by the race leader).
The dashboard can be manually operated by the Marshal Panel and then you will see a blue flag displayed on the dashboard, or it can be operated by Race Control and instead it will show the car number which will also be cut in blue. No matter what car it sees, the flag must be aware that a faster car is approaching to pass it.

Hello, @EA_Kent did the development team inform you if the blue flags rule on the electronic panel with the pilot number will be available in this year's game? thanks

Hello @EA_rephii @jenny_a_m could you help me with this topic? thanks
- ajobling19834 years agoRising Ace@Willianpaganini I think they have more important things than this to be working on. Implementation would take time and add nothing of worth in my opinion.
There are so many other rules that aren’t implemented correctly that they need to be concentrating on. - Willianpaganini4 years agoRising Traveler
@ajobling1983 this rule was implemented in 2018, four years have passed and so far it is not in the game. the game itself informs that all the rules will follow the FIA. I agree with you but this blue flag rule is very important in the game I say this because of the situation that happened in abu dhabi where the latecomers passed the safety car this other rule is also not in the game
- ajobling19834 years agoRising Ace@Willianpaganini Yes, but it’s completely irrelevant in actualy game play. If your talking about rules, more important things are:
Red flags
Correctly allowing teams to manage tyre allocation
Unlap under safety car
Correctly taking addition engine components
Just a few things off the top of my head. Blue flag thing doesnt really add anything. - @ajobling1983 When you are racing in VR and dont have all the fancy HUD elements, or a engineer that auto talks to you, the Flag panels around the track do help very much.
- ajobling19834 years agoRising Ace
@Axew-Yew-YewFair point, but why doesnt your engineer talk to you in VR?
Still think it’s fairly low priority for the masses. - Willianpaganini4 years agoRising Traveler
