- mariohomoh4 years agoHero (Retired)@Limper545 So you cannot link to "every major stream" and "also esportler" that thinks the patch sucks?
Don't get me wrong. It's just hard to believe everything we read online. So unless people with good track record and knowledge of the sport comes out and say that it really sucks, it will be hard to give much credit to this kind of complaining.
Lots of "streamers" averaging 30 total views per video claiming this game is bad or whatever 🤷 - @jenny_a_m I guess I have a new issue, during practice programs I had some issues with Tyre Temperature. After one lap in practice the tyre temperature is above 105 degrees. In the race it doesn’t. So after one lap my tyres have no grip left unless I do a cooldown lap
I don't listen to people who back up their opinions with "facts".
Look around in Discord or Reddit. There you will find enough streamers with more than "30" viewers or even esportler 😉- SomaticCoast3754 years agoNew Hotshot@tmillo making it more easier on traction is realistic

@Luigi48GP ha scritto:I'll paste here the same message I wrote in the David Greco's Q&A discussion since it migh be a bit more fitting here for feedback purposes. Yesterday in my Brazil sprint race in career mode I was able to keep both the Mercedes and Red Bull pace (I'm in a McLaren which was a bottom 3 car before the update but managed to bring it in line with Mercs and Red Bull with upgrades), today after the update I was a second slower with the same difficulty percentage (100%) and was getting past like if I was a cone in the middle of the track, even though the performance update brought the McLaren closer to Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bulls.
Even worse, next race in Abu Dhabi I was 2 seconds slower than Lando in qualifying (23.5 by me, 21.6 him), even though before the update we were basically on the same pace in every track, with only a 0.1/.2 difference depending on the track we were racing.
I get that the AI might have been improved but 1.5/2 seconds with the same difficulty setting seems a bit too much. Generally speaking they seem to have retained the insane traction and straight line speed they had before the update without suffering from the enhanced understeer that was introduced in this patch. I'm not the only one suffering from this problem so this is definitely an issue.
Ok I'd like to partially retract my previous statement, the AI being extremely fast is a career mode issue only, I just tested Grand Prix and it works just fine. I don't know what's the problem specifically but it's almost like in career mode the AI are running with a fully upgraded car, hence why they might be so much faster than the player car (this is just speculation though).
VR still is "jittery". When i move my head it takes the game 1 sec to catch up with my movement. In every other VR game its fine and very smooth. Here its impossible to play. Im on a Quest 2.

Just did Imola in season 1 career mode with Aston Martin - throttle is much better. From about halfway into the race, it felt really natural to drive, for the first time this year. And from lap 50 it felt like I was driving on autopilit - which to me means it's closer to other sims I'm familiar with. So thanks for the change on the throttle/torque.
The only thing was the AI was much faster than before - my reference was good because I did both a 100% practice race(first few laps) as well as the sprint race before the patch. But I'm not complaining, I just need to find the AI slider sweetspot again. I think about 2 clicks less will be perfect.
EDIT: Also picked up a bug: When entering the pits the first time, I pressed pause and saved as I stopped in my box. I know I selected hards for sure, but when the pitstops completed, I had softs on. Perhaps it was triggered because I was already stopped in my box, because I did the save for my second stop as I crossed the pit entry line.
Perhaps somebody else picked this up before.

here is a new problem, cockpit view in supercars, the textures doesn’t load anymore. Playing on series x

True, I’m on PS5 and noticed this one too. All textures and assets on the supercars interiors are now super blurry and low poly.

@Limper545Setups from 1.05 will need to be tweaked to reduce tire temperatures to retain grip levels. Lower tire pressures is a best place to start.
I've spent a week racing at Paul Ricard in GP mode as Perez and 100 AI. I don't use assists. My setup was falling off a cliff in 1.06. The front tires were massively overheating by lap three and the AI left me in the dust. I was 2 seconds a lap slower than the AI overall where as in 1.05 I was winning the race. After three sessions I developed a better feel for the updated handling and torque. I went with the default setup for the third session and my tires did not overheat. I came in P2 about a second behind the leader. My lap times were faster by at least one second from my best laps in 1.05. So things are getting better but does require a little practice to develop a feel for the limit. The catch is the AI has improved as well and more than I have so far. This is in a way exaggerates the corners exit advantage they appear to have. This issue is marked as currently under investigation so I'm going to sit tight until it is sorted out or my driving overcomes it.
Right now I deal with the fast AI corners exits by applying a very short burst of ERS as I exit the corner. Not every corner but the ones they seem to get away from me on. It keeps me on their tail and in the DRS. Managing the ERS is very important. Even more so than 1.05.
I understand the frustrations of the community. This game was released probably 2 months too soon and might have benefitted from a public beta. However, they are working on it and I like what I read from David Greco today. I feel it is headed in the right direction.
