- @SenseiBacon7 I had a similar issue since 1.06. turned throttle linearity back down to 0 from 15 and it helped a lot.
its SO frustrating man. 1.06 I FINALLY felt like a knew the limits of the car (I play with no assists on a sim racing rig btw) and now its just a guessing game. Its so bad. they need to leave it at 1.06 and make it realistic again.
That's how I felt on 1.05, I thought it felt great everywhere except race starts. 1.06 felt like crap to me and now I'm just getting back into feeling confident. Throttle linearity at 0 helped a lot. I also play no assist on wheel.
To me, it felt a lot better in 1.05 actually.
You really needed to be careful when accelerating, but everything else felt perfect.
In 1.06 it was easier to put the power down, but everything else feels horrible, and I'd randomly spin even when being careful on the power.
Now in 1.07 it feels like a combination of both. I have to be very careful accelerating, and at the same time the car feels like butt and I randomly spin a lot more than in 1.05.
Tyre temps were perfectly fine at a comfortable 95°
I agree 100% Cory, the only improvement I've had from any patches were race starts are much more manageable with no TC. Everything else feels worse than 1.05, car felt so good before patches.

You can't tray the slow curves of 4 and 5 is too unreal https://youtu.be/ek0ev60W-Xw
I’m going to have to politely disagree. This stupid delicate application on the throttle is not realistic at all. I just drove Hungary how Max and Lewis did in qualifying and my car is spinning left and right. In 1.06 I was able to mirror their throttle application but now Im just spinning left and right. It’s so bad. Its just not realistic at all.
@SenseiBacon7I agree on that point, surely throttle application was a lot more realistic in 1.06 than 1.05. My problem is that since 1.06 for some reason something changed in how the car behaves under breaking and turning, regardless of tyre temps. It just feels very bad for me, and that didn't change in 1.07. In 1.07 throttle application is butt, car handling is butt. In 1.06 throttle application was good, car handling was butt. In 1.05 throttle application was butt, car handling was good.
My personal preference is having a good car handling, even if it meant being a lot more careful accelerating.
Hopefully next patch both car handling and throttle application are going to be good, but considering the quality of the patches they're releasing...Corey that is the PERFECT description of the problem I 110% agree with you. To me, throttle application is paramount for me because I like a little more understeer so this patch is a total pain in the * for me. They need the 1.05 handling and the 1.06 throttle application. Instead those doofuses got rid of both. Classic EA.
While the new patch feels better to me in terms of FFB, I've noticed that something still feels off and leaves me feeling disconnected from the car. When my controller is plugged in I noticed that the vibration motors were activating when the tires began to "scrub" during understeer / oversteer, while spinning off the line and also while locking up under braking. But I couldn't feel any of this through my wheel. The only feeling coming through my wheel was it physically changing from heavier to lighter. Since I play in VR, I put the controller on my lap while playing so I could feel when the controllers vibration motors were activating. Surely enough they were activating during heavy tire load in a corner but my wheel was absolutely smooth, not a single bump. Same thing with race starts, I was able to better gauge how much traction I had based off the controllers vibration motors and not the FFB coming from my wheel. The only thing I felt was the wheel physically getting heavier to turn. I also felt when I was locking up from the controller vibrations instead of feeling anything from the wheel other than it getting slightly lighter. Has anyone else been able to test this out and see if you notice similar results? For reference I'm using a SC2 Pro with around 65-75 Overall in-game, 40 Road Effects/Kerb/Off-Track, 20 Damper ffb and 100% Overall FFB in True Drive.
