@EA_rephii - many thanks for being so communicative with us. This communication part is better than in the previous games. It's also good that you publish patch notes and what is still being worked on - so we have an orientation.
We organize leagues with a large number of drivers. We understand individual messages here, but please take care of the really important things - the multiplayer. You have announced it, but please do not let time pass. Please focus only on that. Bugfixing is much more important in F1 than feature development. MUCH more important. F1 2021 was a disaster, please don't repeat those mistakes. The best state of F1 22 was after the release. Patch 1.06 and 1.07 not only made the driving physics worse (even though it was your intention to improve them), but also brought back DeSyncs and brought those serious lobby host / race start / tire temp issues.
Please fix now and patch immediately:
- Cold Tyres at Start (everyone wants to do a self driven / immersive formation lap in League Races).
- Race doesn't start when host is spectator (in every league host is spectator and not driver)
- 2x medium and 2x hard tyre in a race must be availableEverything else you can do later. Please, prioritize bug fixing.
Many greetings
sLydon- @FG44141 That happens because the AI was only modified in the career mode and my team, well I hope also in my team.
- @sLydon Cheers to that.
@ArkaniaDanteYesterday I did a race in MyTeam at season 2 Silverstone with 85AI (I decreased it according to my practice result compare with AI lap time), and it was absolutely perfect for me.
It was one of the best race I've had since patch v1.06 where my pace was matching the rivals closest to me without me having to break my fingers while I still able to manage my tires and such. There was absolutely no straight line speed advantage from the AI with my downforce set up to about 4 points lower than the preset, I could most likely up it by 2 and still able to overtake them in Hanger straight, my car is dead-midfield.
Try to use free practice to see what the AI lap times are compare with you on the same tire setup, then adjust your difficulty accordingly. I haven't actually record the numbers, but seems like lower the difficulty by 5 points will slow the AI by about 0.5 sec per lap (on all sessions). The thing is, if you felt lowering the AI difficulty made them too slow mid-corners, that means you'll have more leeway to lower your downforce setup to deal with the AI on the straight while you're now also matching the AI in the corners, it's a balancing act that we could do without relying on CM's slow respond.
Will try the same track again tonight (I have a copy of the save) with the current v1.08 build. So, is this now also patched for 2 player career or is this also an online problem? Because if it is just fixed for single player career mode..it is not fixed..?
- @sLydon Just can agree, cant even play multiplayer at all since patch 1.06. since i am always getting kicked from lobbies
@EA_rephii Is this issue also on your radar for a next patch? Its not on the 'awaiting patch' list, but it is a major bug that destroys strategy in longer races
- @Bas_Sie89 100% this - I could live with it last year when you only got one set of hards to use in the race, but only one set of mediums and one set of hards is really annoying

I'm still waiting on 1.18, maybe the game will be playable until then.
On this page it specifically refers to straight line speed:

Edit: was trying to reply to specific question above but phone had weird issue.
