So formation lap is still pointless for everyone online apart from the host.AI speed still crazy for online and Grand Prix modesStuck with only 1 medium tyre and 1 hard tyre in races for strategy.AI still absolutely psychotic and try to bash you off track or drive through you when your near the racing lineStill no fix for pit bug where player car is slowed down for no reason, as what happened to Jarno Opmeer that ruined a league race for himIts almost September and core parts of the game still are not fixed

@jenny_a_mThere is still no fix in sight for the audio stuttering. So many PS4/Xbox One players cant commit to league racing season because the game is unplayable online with the sound issues. shouldnt this be a category A bug???Sorry but reading all the patch notes its a joke. incorrect sponsors etc how can this be more important than multiplayer sound?speechless

Ok, I have thought long an hard about whether I want to be an active beta tester for the multimillion dollar monopoly cooperation that is EA Sports ("its in the game" - er well its actually not but anyways)this may well be my last post until some serious action is taken.Clearly this game has been released way too early (or not, half way through F1 season - and surely after multiple years of F1 versions this one might be ok? - anyway let's move on and thank F for flashback - which I despise using although it gets a huge workout ) note - sorry in advance for any spelling mistakes or stupid spell suggestion changes that I miss - as I will not be going over it again once typed ------------100 % Driver career - I have just completed my 8th round, Baku.I seriously considered deleting the game. AI - in general been written about extensively - just ridiculous to have a car qual in 5th and have the ENTIRE field CLIMBING in your cockpit corner after corner, those in front mount a 10-20second gap in 5 laps because you are concentrating on blocking the AI behind - block them stupidly and they lose 1.5-2seconds and then 3 corners later they are all over you again - completely ridiculous to have a fast car but can't do anything with it .Note: I worked on the balance of the car with a full fuel load in practice and had a great balance - in the race it didn't matter, from leclerc(Qual 6th) to latifi(QUAL DEAD LAST) you are a roadblock.It is not ERS or DRS as this happens every corner with or without both - and most of the time you are using it yourself!For some reason, at miami - I was able to battle with the AI competitively - could focus and pull a gap on alonso, about 0.05 - 0.15 sec per lap which resulted in 2-3 second gap after 20odd laps - that was the best race for realism - i qualified in the top 10 and was able to race with them - is this because this is a new track and EA have focused on setting the AI properly for this track ?Needless to say it is completely different track to track - and I mean COMPLETELY 14. Zero damage wing replaced in pitstop So on my second stop I did not have any damage to the wing - all solid green no hint of a yellow at all - the team changed is - WTF not only that they then decided to Fxxx the stop up and that's why I ended up with latifi15. Prac and Qualifying track grip COMPLETELY different to race - but not for AI?So i spend all FULL prac sessions setting the car up for qual and race - soft tyre runs and full fuel medium/hard tyre runs It seem this is a complete waste of time except for qual where I finished 5th.Going into the race the race balance tested in practice is TOTALLY different and inconsitant race track to race track - WTF is going on here ????AI it seems have no problem at all - of course 16. AI outlaps from pits don't suffer from cold tyre temp understeerEven after I complete what I would call a great outlaw - the AI are always quicker out of the pits on "cold' tyres - we have massive understeer to deal with and they don't seem to have the same issue!Just another clue to the AI being overpowered and nearly unplayable.So with that said I will leave it there - if there are no serious improvements in the VERY near future - I will never buy an EASports game again - waste of time and money.Note - I will not be posting as a beta tester again - I don't get paid to do it - I paid for the game - and this is NOT ABOUT THE MONEY IN THE MEANTIME - I WILL BE PLAYING - F1 MANAGER 2022 - which looks a whole lot more realistic to the type of F1 game we would expect as enthusiasts! I had similar issue with the career practice objectives resetting progress when I went into the next practice session. This didn't happen before the latest patch. Also finding some of the weekly challenges not registering.

Problem on steam deck after update! Crash when i try to go on main mane after to start! Before the update. Never had any problems before the update. I have tried everything but nothing has any effect (undo, delete the game folder, change proton ... everything!)

I do not care too much as I always do it, however I was expecting 'No Formation lap' to be fixed also offline but from telemetry it looks not, at least this is GP mode (69°C at the start):

Well at least the flashback bug was fixed. Surprised it took 9 patches since they created the bug the last 2 years with early patches and later fixed it. Same thing again this year, one of the patches created the issue again, and here they are fixing it again. Pretty incredible really. Got to be frustrating to be a programmer working with the mix mash of copy/pasted coding each year that constantly keeps bringing back old bugs needing to be patched again year after year like this one.
Other than that nothing else in this patch really mattered to me. Still waiting for the AI to not be super human down the straights, or on the last few laps of a race. The rubber banding AI they've implemented is nothing short of game breaking to be honest. Especially when you see the lap times, and gaps to the cars behind you. With 5 to go I have a 10 second lead, then it's several seconds back to each driver in the order. With 3 to go it's suddenly a 3 second gap from me to 2nd, a 1-2 second gap from 2nd to third, but a 16 second gap from 3rd to 4th. What happened? Other than the AI becoming super human to challenge me suddenly . It's ridiculous. Scrap this nonsense.

@Grace_TacticalPossibly.. however majority off people from what I can see from watching multiplayer races( yes I watch plenty) don’t experience the bug.

Also people are now shying away from online multiplayer games… For many many reasons. Live service, pay to win, cheating(pc) etc etc

What difficulty setting are you playing on?
Was it the early MyTeam car?
Were the cars around you close to you in terms of R&D progression?
Was your tire (and what tire) already at around 40% wear during those last 5 laps?
What about your fuel load at that point? Also, the temp?
How much ERS was left?
Engine wear? Were some of them around 50% wear at that point?

For @Logoo69, and all those experiencing this issue, could you try these steps, the first one especially, and let us know if they fix the crash you're experiencing?

Update your Windows to the latest update - on Windows 10, you can do this by going to the Start button, and then Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, then click 'Check for Updates'. You can find out more about this here.

Make sure your graphic drivers are up to date.

Delete your hardware config file for F1 22 - this is typically located here: Documents\My Games\F1 22\hardwaresettings\hardware_settings_config.xml

If you could try those and let us know how you get on?
