I am also crashing not sure what the fix is here

@jenny_a_m I am not able to launch the game at all. I just see a black screen for ~5 seconds when starting the game, then it crashes back to desktop without an error message (Windows 10 - up to date, Origin, all drivers updated).

Also, my DxDiag shows that there is a problem detected with the App: F1_22.exe --> AppHang.

@jenny_a_mHello, could you please give us an update on whether the team is still working on a solution for this issue? or are they gonna leave it be because it might not be a direct issue with them since it's related to windows update?

There're many people's system being plagued by the windows 10 update error (0x80073712) and some reported that they were unable to update it even after reinstalling windows, so this might-be-solution isn't really a realistic option for a lot of them.

If the game never had worked then it's our fault for not testing with the demo first before purchasing, but the problem here is that it worked perfectly fine all the way until to the newest patch, in this case there must be something wrong on the dev team's side when they were doing the patching, the responsibility shouldn't be weighing on the user.

There are indeed so many things that DEFINITELY need to be fixed:

• The AI is still way too fast. Whenever I play on Melbourne, I can get the race done easily without too much trouble on level 76 - 80. If I play on say Imola or Miami, as well as Monaco, Brazil, and Abu Dhabi, you can pretty much tell that the AI dominate these tracks as if it was the easiest thing ever. I remember back in F1 2020, I played on Expert, even Master AI, and everything worked fine regarding AI, and I was able to keep the level as is for 3 seasons straight. Ever since F1 2021, the AI performance keeps fluctuating from track to track, heck, even a German F1 YouTuber used to play on 95, and now he's on 60 because the AI are far too overpowered. And it doesn't affect just him, but every single person who prefers to play Single Player, and this ruins the experience, and the long-time motivation.
• Unfortunately, the AI issue also affects the Practice programs. You guys say you adjusted the difficulty of the programs. Wrong. In fact, it has gotten a whole lot worse ever since the new handling patch came out. Like, get this, I can't get Qualifying Pace done on any track unless I attack the corners like a Verstappen and risk DNF'ing, and that's on Level 71, which I used to destroy in F1 2020. This is especially a huge problem on Imola, Miami, and so many other tracks, meaning you make use of Quick Practice more often, which also isn't good considering you might have new upgrades you have to get used to.
• Come to think of Practice, the telemetry graphics are bugged. Race Strategy shows no telemetry graphics at all anymore, and in Track Acclimatization, the average cornering speed equals the speed you had when hitting the first gate of a corner.
• Speaking of Miami, there is zero grip on this track. Every single time I try to hit the throttle, the car keeps trying to kill me, which should not be the case unless your setup is garbage or your tires overheat like crazy, in which neither those things are the case.
• Two Player Career has no in-game voice chat, so unless you talk to the person via a console party chat or through other means, you will never hear what the other person says.

Those were the major problems with the game, there are also minor issues, which aren't that much of a deal, but still require fixing:

• The Highlight Reel still consists of only the race start, your overtakes, and your errors, which, if you dominate the race clean, has the highlight reel be only a few seconds long, which makes zero sense considering F1 2020 did everything right with the highlight reels, showing more than just your key moments like overtakes and errors.
• The sponsors on the My Team car are still glitched during replays. Especially the ones on Sponsor Positions 4, 5, 9, and 11 are being upsized if using a sponsor with just a long shape like Xero and Achevee.
• "Meanwhile, good work from Aston Martin this weekend, who push themselves further up the order." - Oh, I am so TIRED of hearing that every single time I finish a race, especially if Aston Martin didn't even move up, or didn't even score a point. Heck, the commentator even says that if no team moved up the table at all! Like, do you guys really expect all players to do a Driver Career with Aston Martin and win every single race? If that's the case, I can understand why, but nobody plays DC with Aston Martin unless it's 2021.

It's all these problems that squander an amazing experience, so if these get fixed, I think we will have a good time with the game. But if not, then I fear the worst.

I finish the qualifying program with about +0.500 seconds and then my engineer told me it failed. Looks like another bug to me.

Ever since the update, I've been receiving the error message 'unable to connect to playfab' on launch and subsequently this prevents me from joining online races. It seems to be an account issue as when I created a new EA account and tried the game, it worked fine as expected, EA support haven't responded for a number of days, are you able to provide support please?
