- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@BadMayh3m Good call on brake pressure. I find 90-95 nice. Especially using ABS. Like trail braking without having to trail brake😁
- BadMayh3m3 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 I was running 100 but when I added Ultimate brake update by it self towards the end of a 10 season run I found the car slowing down to much scrubbing to much corner speed off.
When I started a new Career mode was still having the same issue without the update which sounds like the same problem to me.
Might be one of those "minor fixes"? All right thanks for sharing

@jenny_a_m I can't play the game in Performance mode at all since this update as it now has random freezes, race director still fails to open on the 1st attempt, formation lap still resets temperatures and the motion blur setting slider still doesn't work.

This has been said before but this is almost certainly an issue with your hardware or how you have it configured. You seem to be the only person that has this issue so this really is the only logical conclusion. Realistically there isn't a huge gameplay difference between the two modes so I'd suggest you just stop using performance mode, but if not I really would be focusing on the hardware side of things.

@Ultrasonic_77 there's nothing left to check, apart from getting a 2nd console to see if it runs smoothly on it, and I don't see why I should even consider this for one game with issues which got worse after the last update (freezes and restarting no longer fixes it).

You either have a conflict with something else you have installed/running, an issue with settings on your console or TV, or an issue with either piece of hardware. The solution if you feel you can't or won't explore these further is to follow my first suggestion above: stop using performance mode. Yes this isn't what you ideally what you'd want to do but it really isn't that different and it would allow you to actually play the game.
If this were a game issue this forum would be full of other people complaining, but so far as I can tell it is literally just you. I really wish the game worked perfectly for you but I genuinely don't think this is something EA can realistically fix for you. Try to put yourself in their position and think what you'd actually do?

@Ultrasonic_77 the only thing I can't exclude is a conflict with something else that is installed, but I don't know if that is even possible on a console or what more to try as I already attempted playing offline and with all accessories disconnected. I know of quite a few people with the same issue, but none of them can be bothered to make an account here and post about it, so they just gave up and switched back to Quality mode.
Even Otis Lawrence said in one of his recent videos that enabling the telemetry makes the framerate bad, but changing that setting also didn't make any difference for me: https://youtu.be/agWPrGUQKIw?t=325

Otis is referring to enabling telemetry on an XBOX One so that's an entirely different issue to what you're experiencing in performance mode on an XBOX Series console.
Can you think of anything in common with the others you know with issues? This may help point to the cause.
Consoles won't be totally immune to conflicts with other applications. I think you've previously said you like to stream on Twitch? Does uninstalling the Twitch app make any difference for example? That's the sort of thing I'd be exploring in your position. Although if you know there are others who stream on Twitch from XSX/S in performance mode then I suppose it shouldn't be that.
