Fresh tyres for start of the race

I still can't figure out why I have to use used soft tyres in a race, I had a set unused from qualifying but for the race a used set is the only set of soft tyres I have available. I run full qualify...

@SSA-1988 Was the unused set the set thats reserved for Q3? This specific set is only usable in Q3 and not in the race. So in that case rather use that soft (the furthest to the right) and safe a different soft for the race.

Yes it was, thank you for the tip I will use that in the next race. Annoyingly I didn't read your reply until after I finished qualifying at Australia

  @SSA-1988 Better now than never :D this may be annoying at times but its at least one thing true to the sporting regulations😂

So, sets not used in Q1 or or Q2 are available for the race? Didn't know that! Is that explained in game anywhere?

  @Squadinh0 To give you the exact rules:
  
  The softs that are reserved for Q1 and Q2 are also available in the race, the tyre reserved for Q3 is ONLY available for Q3 and will be returned after Q3.
  
  It is not properly explained ingame IMO
