Game asks to use Steam to update on Xbox?!

I  get the same thing trying to load my series s save on my Xbox one s. Tried re installing, restarting Xbox and deleting saved data off Xbox one nothing seems to work. 

Seriously EA/Microsoft you really need to sort this out. What is the point of paying extra for a ‘smart delivery’ game if you can’t play the same save game between consoles anymore? And why the hell does my Xbox think steam is the answer? Quite obviously an issue with the game GET IT SORTED!

So I started a driver career on my Xbox one upstairs as I can’t load the my team save from my series s. Then I go downstairs to play the my team game but no, can’t do that because the driver save from my Xbox one has overwritten it and it’s gone. Completely gone.  So I go back upstairs to see if I can play my driver career but no I can’t do that either because I get the incompatible save message. So basically I can either play on my Xbox one OR my series s, but not both. Thank you EA and Microsoft for taking my money and completely shafting me. I’m not sure what you have done to the game for it to start doing this as I could play on both consoles at launch hut you really need to sort this or start preparing to give people money back. Not good enough.
