I bought the game yesterday and tried to start it up.After accepting the terms and conditions a video starts explaining the new F1 Life hub. At the end of this 20 seconds video the game crashes.My system is up to date, I rebuilt the database, reinstalled the game, reset my PS5 to factory settings, reinstalled again, but it keeps happening.It only happens with F1 22 though.Does anyone have any ideas?Thanks!

Have a digital PS5 (latest revision) too and no problems with crashes. Keeping fingers crossed that you can find a solution. That’s frustrating, I can imagine.

Hi Francesco,Just wanted to update you that there have been 2 update files for F1 in the meantime but it keeps happening. Just reinstalled again but no luck.Installed other games, never releases, other EA games and everything works fine except this game...I'm really lost and clueless at this point...Any ideas or advice?

How does the game crash, does it take you back to the console menu and give you an error code??

At this point I think the problem lies more in the system software than in the game. Have you installed the latest console update 22.01-05.50.00?

Yeah I tried all those options already.
I have to double check later to see the update number, but it says I'm up to date. I'll let you know later
It just seems so weird to me that it would be the console, when all other games work fine still.

In today's consoles there are several issues. It is not a very simple problem. There are problems you may have and other people may not. In my humble opinion, it doesn't depend on the console, as other games work. My advice is, wait. See if anything resolves with the next patches. Otherwise you can also format the console. Get USB extended storage memory on PS5 console. Put all the games up there. You can put your saves in the cloud. So do full format with system software reinstallation. You should put a usb stick in the console with the .PUP file. But if you can't do it, forget it. In that way the console is restored to how it was when you first took it out of the box.

All right. Keep me updated. It's frustrating I know, having a great game like F1 22 and not being able to play it. But it's the only solution if you don't want to try formatting the console.
