How to solve the AI level problem

Setting the AI level in career and my team mode is really annoying and kills any joy you get from the game.. especially that it varies from session to session let alone from race to race.. unless ur racing at 110 there is no real sense of achievement as you are setting you own difficulty and test... whats the point?!

There are 2-3 plausible solution to this issue...

Solution 1 : Link AI difficulty to Time Trial

- Most people do their testing and setup on TT so why not set the AI difficulty based on that
- This will also be circuit specific and addresses the the fluctuations in AI capability
- However the developer will need to make the AI maybe 3-7 points better as people tend to make better times in career/my-team mode (especially with easier track limit option)
-  you can ive player option of easy medium or hard with in their range of AI

Solution 2: Hot-lap prior to the Race weekend

- Prior to the going to race weekend you can do a One-shot hot lap to setup the difficulty in your own race car with default set-up .. at least its more useful that then those pointless invitational races
- This will be not only be track specific (based on your season configuration).. but also will take the car development into account
- Again in this solution developer will need to create an AI that can step up by 3-7 points depending on how well the player is doing.. especially opponents and rival teams especially in qualification

Solution 3: Do 3-5 hot laps in representatives circuits prior to starting career/my team mode

- the only advantage is that its time saving.. and simple
- This can give a generic and range of AI difficulty..
- will lack track specific accuracy and will not take car development into account

I would appreciate anyone feedback and its acceptable then people can raise it to EA/codemasters .. cos to be honest its been a few days and Im already getting board with tedious process of setting this difficulty at every race only to find that i set too high or to low

Who says they're wrong , some random on the Internet?

If it works for me I don't consider that wrong. So if it's all the same I will continue to do what I think is right and what works for me.

All settings should be set to personal preferences.  Not what somebody else says they should be.  I primarily setup the game and car to suit how I like the car to feel. As longs I’m not way off the pace  Lap times  are secondary. Whereas other people do it the other way round:  there’s no right or wrong

ok its a game at the end of the day... right and wrong is not best way to describe what i was saying.. i was talking about accuracy...

As said for those basing their recommendation on their experience of fun is not most accurate/optimum measure that's all.. as said you can be faster or have fun with traction control on.. but to say that's the fastest way.. then that's not accurate

setting you AI level based on Latifi as a teammate.. means that when you will be outqualified Verstappen  by a second when you have the same level car down the line

I my experience I haven't seen what you stated will happen, in the vertsppen example.

But since you haven't found a solution either that works were both doing wrong it seems

Also to add I don't set my level so I'm beating my teammate only that we're level or round about.  Most times I'm no way as consistent asvtge ai on a pad so that buffer does even out in the race.

But when I can actually drive on trc med on a pad like I enjoyed 21, then I'll worry about the ai. Until the. This doesn't really matter mate 😀

@Dan78loki it depends .. if the objective is to compete against your team mate then maybe that's a viable way.. the way I see it is that you want to assess ur level in terms degree of difficulty of the whole field (as close as possible)… otherwise how would you know if ur driving has improved if you keep fluctuating the AI level based on ur team mate..

either way the way the game is implemented is flawed and thus there has to be an independent way to assess the AI level to give us a sense of achievement and that's what this is post is about (when I originally wrote it)

the game has to be able to give a specific or at least range of AI difficulty based on ur capabilities on each circuit.. cos unless ur Pro Sim driver you wont be driving optimally on each circuit

so lets discuss actual solutions to this issue rather than arguing about flawed subjective methodology cos the developer did not do their job properly

@SaiSonic666Honestly think your over thinking it just use the table as has been posted and you will be OK. Your making more of an issue than it is fella

This is an age old issue in most sims we've been doing level methods like this for years it nothing new.

@Dan78loki the point of these forums is raise issues and push these developers to improve the product..

if ur happy with status quo/mediocrity and developers taking ur cash every year and giving the same problems then good for u..

you seem to spend more time in the forum then playing the actual game.. and that's says something "fella"
