the worst thing is that they changed the straight grandstand and the garage building! I hope they can solve this, as they have updated so many tracks, it would be a shame
in f1 2021 it was right
Maybe there were plans to put in a new building? Not sure how CM would get it right next year and get it wrong the next unless they were told something?
I'm really not sure tbh.
They should have updated the track especially the chicanes and the inclusion of the green and white kerbs.
in fact they had to update the curbs at the chicane not the grandstand and the paddock, I really hope there will be an update in the future
- @Nylink I think you're right. There may be infrastructure updates coming to the track IRL and the CM team updated the game using the architecture renders just to future proof the game.
Actually after a quick Google, The Race reported last year that Hungary's contract with F1 was extended to 2027 and possibly into the 2030's. However the facilities and infrastructure haven't been updated since it was built in the 80's meaning that those updates would likely be required by F1 in the near term to continue hosting races. it is true that there are articles from last year that said there would be works on the circuit, but these works are postponed and codemasters created these changes only with their own imagination, I contacted the hungaroring circuit on messenger and was told that the changes made to the game are pure fantasy, I hope the codemasters can solve this problem, also taking it from F1 2021.
- @KVNR01 Yup, it's the only way it makes sense, that they were told beforehand. The track obviously didn't do the upgrades yet, but I don't see why CM would waste dev time to put in a fictional building without being told it was planned.
I wouldn't expect this to be changed back. Like you said, they will probably just keep it in for the future. No point in reverting the changes if the track is going to update the buildings in a year or two.
