This is my experience as well. I only play career mode and so when you have put the time into finding the right difficulty level, completing practice programs, full qualy sessions - it is incredibly frustrating to have the game do you over by badly coded AI. The starts they get off the line are insane - even on 70 degree tyres - the pace they have in the wet is superhuman - and their ability crash (normally into me) and come out of it without any damage is just insulting. I don't want my AI to be passive but I do want them to have to follow the laws of physics. I am sure this will be met with 'turn the AI level down' but that is not the case at all.
I share your pain.
Hmm I hit miami for the first time qualyd 19 in the dry. Then comes the wet race I thought that's it I'm done.
Actually done ok kept up with the ai and in some places were faster. Hit a dry spell and ai came in for softs I stayed out and came in 12 in the end ok inters. So was surprised I enjoyed it tbh. Did better than I thought.
- 3 years ago@Dan78loki Yeah, the inconsistency is what is so aggravating. I was also pretty competitive in the rain in Miami, and again today at Zandvoort, where it started in the rain. I keep notes on each race I can use to prepare for the next season. Here was part of those notes from Miami:
Good pace, but AI traction out of slow corners in wet still crazy, made passing extremely tough.
Having wet conditions in one-third of all races so far hasn't helped either.
