Leclerc did the pole in 1.27.400 (too quick for the 89% difficulty)On previous version with 98 % difficulty I was as fast as my team mate.I think the 1.06 patch made the situation worse because yesterday I did training on Silverstone and make all the free practice sessions in the top 8 by doing race simulation and ERS training in violet. And I did a top 5 by trying the red tyres in 1.30.400.

Did a standard GP mode race in a Williams on the same 95 difficulty and qualified 4th and beat my team mate by 2.5 seconds. This game will be completely dead if Codies don’t fix it soon. Career is basically dead after 2 seasons because the AI become so insanely fast.

It's a major issue and Codies/EA is acting like it was intended but if it was then why not address it in the patch notes? I qualified 7th at Hungary before the patch then did the race after the patch and was down in 14th within 2 laps and eventually retired because I was last by a mile. Then went to Spa where I'm pretty good at and barely made it out Q1 and qualified 15th. Haven't touched MyTeam since then. There's no reason for the AI to be that much faster. And the new handling is just...off. I play with no assists and the car (which is 2nd best in R&D) feels sluggish and barely reaches 8th gear. Plus the understeer everywhere and tires going nuclear after a few laps. Something went very wrong with the patch.

I'm on Season 2 of my team with a more updated car, but having to drop down the AI level by 10-20 points to keep performances realistic. I was playing on 95 on F1 2021, but now I'm driving around Jeddah and struggling on 66.

Also having this issue. Before the 1.06 seemed to have no issues. Now ERS runs out much quicker than it's supposed to in career mode (tested the same car in single Grand Prix and had no issues). I didn't get any reports of ERS issues during the race and the engine parts are all green, but then got a message at the end of the race saying there was an issue with ERS. My car was hugely slower than the rest of the cars.Just moved onto the next Grand Prix and I'm gradually getting much slower per lap both in Practice and the Race, and at a much faster rate than you'd expect.

Made an account to comment on this and I really hope that EA checks it because this is pathetic.Mine went from being comfortable on 92% to completely undrivable at 86%. I was qualifying around 6th-10th in my Alfa Romeo and then qualified 20th in Spain after 1.06 launched. PLEASE fix the AI's speed because it seems like they're still flicking the car around while we have new handling. I know it's a problem in both Myteam and Mycareer. I'm just not going to play career until this is fixed (if it is ever fixed)

@joshhhhmcgill I think we have to restart career, the patch has broke it. Like always when codemaster make a patch the game is worse than before and we will need to wait 6 months to have a decent one.

Same here.
I'm doing a normal career w/ Mercedes (who are now the fastest car in my save), running 4-0 wings at Monza, yet two seconds off the pace in qualifying to my teammate.
Russell also managed to set a slick time on extreme wets in Practice at Hungary
I've been running at 94 AI since the last game with no issues but since the patch today the AI has been absolutely insane
Not sure what's going on anymore.

@oliverhehir I'm sure this is the same problem we already have on the 2021. The first time they have updated driver stats, they completely broke the career AI ...

So my experience is this: last year it took me awhile to get out right but my preferred difficulty was 69. That put me close enough that with the fastest car in My Team I could win qualifying and the race of I didn't make any mistakes but it would be a challenge to not make any mistakes. This year the difficulty is all over the place. Example: Silverstone. My car is the best in R and D, by a lot. My teammate is the best teammate you can get, Senna. In practice, at just a 58 difficulty, I beat my teammate by 1.2 seconds across all practices with a 1:30 flat. Suddenly, in Q1, this dude hits a 1:29.5 ON HIS FIRST LAP. I watched it on the live feed in the menu. I was flabbergasted. By Q3 I had improved to a 1:29.3, and he still beat me by two tenths. This is on a 58 difficulty. How is he nearly 2 seconds faster in qualifying? In previous races I have to constantly adjust difficulty, only to be eeked out in qualifying when I've put in my best lap. Even when I backed it down before the race by 3 points or so (Miami), I can't so much as keep up in the race. This is after beating everyone by miles in practice at the 3 points higher difficulty. Why can't we set it where we want it, and leave it there? And why can't we figure out where that happy spot is? Why is this hard? I figured it out for 21, 20, 19, 18. Why is it suddenly impossible to figure out where to set the AI?? It's ridiculous. Please fix this.
