Maxed Car Setup Suggestions

Hi guys,

in this post, I would like to ask you if you got good setups for maxed out Career Mode cars.

I had a similar thing happening in F1 2020, where a maxed out Career Mode car didn't feel great with the setups I used to have, and I got into the groove with setups from James Baldwin, an F1 Esports player. Unfortunately, this only worked only for the dry, and whenever there was a wet race and I had to use a wet setup, I was struggling...

Just recently, I saw in a different post that @BadMayh3m kind of made a template setup for beginners at F1 22, don't know if this is just for the dry, so I would like to know if someone in this forum has both a dry and a wet template setup for maxed out Career Mode cars that can be used on controller. It could be as simple as said person stated - apply the setup and change the wing angles depending on the track.

The thing is, I don't want to spend 10 hours per day to find the perfect setup for a maxed out Career Mode car that is drivable with ABS and on a controller, so that's why I usually rely on setups from other people. And as of right now, thanks to brakes overheating in like 1 second the moment I touch the brake pedal, the setups are kinda obsolete now.

Does anyone have something? Because I'm stuck in Australia, and I can't even get past the easiest practice program in the game, which is track acclimatization. If someone can help me out, or if Codemasters finally fix maxed out Career Mode cars for the players, it would be hugely appreciated.

- Nico

@LuckyNico92 I'm one of those people who is interested in how others attack the game.
Doesn't always work for me but I still find it interesting.

So, the setup that I came up with is as follows:

    • Wings: 22-18. My previous setup used much less front downforce, but that was one of the things that had me not turn at all with a maxed out car.
    • Transmission: 55% on, 50% off. Since we're in the dry here, you need as much traction as you can get. Also, the setting helps a bit with tire wear.
    • Suspension Geometry: Right, Right, Left, Left. Simple as that.
    • Suspension: 9-1 Suspension, 6-2 Anti-Roll Bars, 3-6 Ride Height. Especially the ride height looks ridiculous, but this actually helps with the downforce load. Just don't go too aggressive on certain curbs or you might send the car into the wall.
    • Brakes: 100% pressure, 50% bias. Nothing too special.
    • Tires: 23 on the fronts, 21 on the rears. This is the highest if you want to get away with Softs and keep them below the 100 degree Celsius mark.

As I said earlier, it's actually a time trial setup on which I decreased the tire pressures to avoid overheating on the tires, as for the dry, it's very important to stay in control of your car.

If you have any suggestions about the setup on how I can slightly improve it, let me know, but this is what I came up with for maxed cars in Melbourne.

@LuckyNico92 I got around to testing this today.
To be honest I thought I'd be oversteering all over the place.
In one shot qualifying on my 1st run I was only 6+ tenths over my PB and the car was more stable than I expected.
So I restarted qualifications but this time I lowered brake pressure to 95 as I'm running just the Ultimate update for brakes and 100 takes away to much corner rolling speed.
Next run I broke the previous time by 1.1 seconds or my previous PB by .5 so I was surprised to be sure.
    This was in the dry.
