Sorry, a bit off-topic but I'm unsure to open a new topic for this question. I've no interest in solo mode neither in ranked online with unknow. I would like to know is there is some news/improvement in private online sessions. I was used in F1 2019 to play with 1 or 2 friends a whole season. That was one race after another and it counts points. We can restart a session. Then in 2020 they totally broke this mode removing the possibility to save the championship and to restart the session. In 2021, there was the career mode, but it's only two players and there are all the facilities managing that we don't want. So, in 2022, will be able to make a season online with friends as we did in 2019? Having the engine wearing saved between races would be an improvement, but I least, the same mode as we had in 2019 will be nice. Is someone saw it something about that?

You can create an online league invite-only (so only you and your friends), with progression in both points and component wear - though I'm not positive on the latter.
You can set up the AI too and even decide if the AI will score points of their own or if the leaderboards should only display human players. Can even set the AI to drive in for a human players if they cannot take part in a given session or Reserve Players for other people play instead of a member. - v1ness_894 years agoNew Traveler
Was I the only one laughing, when the department event was shown? Those were announced as having a big overhaul and then they show this…
Not only am I pretty sure the same department event was already in F1 2021, the design is just different. But this kind of event is the very reason, why department events were just unecessary in the first place. 30k more or +10 (+5 instead of -5) racecraft. Do they really assume anyone cares about this 30k? This is not even a lot in the first month of my team.
I really hope they actually changed them and not just added one or two new ones to call it a feature.

But i agree that this doesnt seem amazing especially with those very low numbers of cash.. Just like last year who cares about 5k to get 1000 acclaim..
But this was a single screen, there could be much more depth to it just a bad example, similar to the custom championship screen being ambiguous

Unfortunately you can't save progression (so you can't play 1 race weekend per day and continue the season tomorrow), you can't restart a session (if you restart, you restart the whole weekend and component wear is not kept after race. At least, it was like that after the release and few patchs later. I'm unsure how is it today... The disappointment was terrible in 2020 as we can't play us season anymore. Then, in 2020 online career gives hope but the team management is repellent.
- About the trailer, the Miami track seem very bad modelized: water of the marina bay seems real while the real one not at all 😁
- SomaticCoast3754 years agoNew Hotshot@Meza994 Bottas was in the second fastest car until the end of the season where Mercedes became faster. Norris was in the third fastest car and over the season wasn’t close to Bottas. Bottas even out scored Perez in a slower car for the majority of the season. Also has Norris has bottle wins and isn’t good in the rain.
In conclusion Bottas is a more complete and reliable driver so overall better - ajobling19834 years agoRising Ace

@SomaticCoast375Merc was the equally fastest car to Red Bull.. There is a comparison on youtube showing the Qualifying laps of Bahrain and Hamilton lost 3 tenths in Turn 10 -> Merc was at most 0.1s slower in Bahrain when the struggled to find the right setup which then means the cars where equal which also showed in the results, depending on the track they were equal on pace or one or the other had an advantage till Silverstone.
Of course Bottas was faster than Perez struggling to adapt to A) a new car and B) a car difficult to drive (can be seen 2019-2021) and Bottas had the clear faster car since Silverstone, please dont come up with "Merc was only faster after Brazil". Its a fact that Merc upped their engine power from Silverstone on and had the edge on almost all tracks. Exceptions were Zandvoort (Very high downforce), Mexico (High altitude) and Cota (too many bumps to run the low ride height Merc was utilizing to stall their diffuser at high speed). 3 races out of 13 races that Merc were not fastest. And no Jeddah and Abu Dhabi were not Red Bull advantage because Merc was set up for race pace (all year) which was very visable in Abu Dhabi.
Yes Norris has "bottled" a win, Bottas has bottled much more in his career and for example Baku last year Bottas was horrendous and in Cota even with a fresh engine he was unable to overtake much slower cars..
Its fine that you like Bottas but objectively he has not done anything to justify him on the same level as Norris, maybe his bowling skills.
