[PS5] Delta bug in Performance Mode

Product: F1 22
Platform:PlayStation 5
Summarize your bug Time Trial mode - F1 - Delta time does not move smoothly but goes up and down in jerks even if of a few thousandths, very annoying especially when it oscillates dozens of times between green and red. Videos attached. Never seen in two full days of Time Trial in Quality Mode, the 3rd day I started in Performance Mode. My previous best was made in Quality mode and the Delta was still ok while I was running in Performance Mode, but once I improved my laptime and the new one has beeen registered as best, since the following attempt the Delta is broken. Note-1: my throttle is working fine, checked also with telemetry Note-2: I created a new account in my PS5, started the game as new and starting to play directly in Performance Mode, I made one lap in TT just to register it, from the second lap the Delta is (shown but) broken. Note-3: the bug occurred yesterday with the first software version, while today I checked after update to 1.03xxx, same bug I add two video, one about my main account (just few seconds to watch) and the other about that secondary one (it's enough to watch from seconds 1 to 5).
Which area is the bug/glitch in? TT
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? PS5 Performance Mode --> run a lap in Time Trial and save your bestlap (do not use a previous best run in Quality Mode) --> start a new lap, you will see the Delta moving up and down in jerks of 4-5 thousands
What happens when the bug occurs? Very annoying especially when it oscillates dozens of times between green and red, it forces to remove delta from the settings but this is a big problem for performance in Time Trial mode
What do you expect to see? Just a smooth Delta like I have always seen in the past games and in F1 22 Quality Mode too

Report Code (main account) -> KPJD-XRGV-SDBJ-BASC

Report Code (secondary account) -> PDHK-DHCH-SDBJ-BASC

I repeat below the "Summarize your bug ⭐" in more readable format:

  • Just to UP this after long time, bug always there at 120 fps (PS5), I wonder if it is just my problem due to some particular setting or if it is common to all…

@Nuvolarix Have you played around with TV display settings? Was having this issue until I turned off HDR tone mapping and peak luminance.

Also sorry was meant to tell you but forgot

@ScarDuck14 I use a monitor but I mean the instability of the delta values, what does it have to do with HDR? 🤔

@NuvolarixHave no idea. I find these things as I constantly tinker. When I turn off mapping and luminance everything is better. HDR is still on just the auto adjusting in real time is off.

Because every is better it means I don’t get the delta instability I once had

Increase latency.  Which Sony admitted was a ps5 issue that they said it was fixed but they said they fixed the rest mode bug but it still causes issues

however as your using a monitor I doubt you have any latency issues.  As they are generally associated with a tv

@ScarDuck14 Yes in fact I don’t think I have any latency besides my inconsistency looks strage, I have +0,003 then +0,007 then again +0,004 etc., as if it ‘wobbled’, weird, and I have not in Quality Mode

in any case I get used to it, but since it is and remains annoying I was wondering why I am the only one to report the problem

I will check my HDR setting and thanks anyway 🙂

Mine was like that but now it’s fine.  Gradually goes up and down.

Just to update here, I tested with HDR totally Off but the issue is always there.

  • Did you find a solution to fix the issue? I have the same problem and it's very annoying

Hi, unfortunately I always have the issue, nothing changed through all the patches (till 1.16 included) and yes it's very annoying 😞
