Hi everyone, this question is for the F1 22® community as well as the game development staff.
My question is: if you are continuously putting up P1 to P6 lap times throughout the duration of FP1 to FP3, why is the Qualifying Practice Programme so hard to not only pass but accomplish a strong estimated starting position?

Yes, yesterday I did P1 supposedly for practice, however I was P3 in the real qualy, ok; not bad to be a general practice, however compared to the same practice before patch 1.08 this practice program has improved a lot compared to the past, perhaps had something to do with the level of AI as well.
Off the top of my head I know Singapore is really out of whack and it’s been that way since started with the F1 games in 2018. I always turn the AI way down so I can pass the programs. I had the AI set at 50 and I was nearly FOUR seconds faster than everyone else on Softs and I still failed the Qualifying Sim.
Just to add an observation since the 1.08 update;
Game difficulty is 90. I run the qualy practice program in Australia and put up a 1:20.3. About 0.5s off the target time for 19/20th. Game says with that time I’d be 22nd.
In qualy, I do a 1:20.2 which gets me 16th and into q2. 22nd does a 1:20.9.
Although improved since the update, and I can get closer to the target time than before, there’s still a bit of balancing to do.
