I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. Cross-play definitely applies to 2-player career and I've not seen any restrictions mentioned beyond that. I don't own either PC or XBOX to test this though.

I’m now deciding whether to buy XBOX One or XBOX Series S. For sure, XBOX Series S it’s newer and better, but at the same time only one reason for me to buy an XBOX is F1 2022 to play with my friend via crossplay.
For that reason I want to be sure, that XBOX One supports it. For me that’s better choice instead of price.
So I will be thankful for answer from person, which own XBOX One and have experience on playing on that console via crossplay.

@8rgs9psxhfggI chased this up with EA who then chased it up with Codemasters. Yes you can use Xbox one in crossplay. Xbox one not being in the literature is an accidental Typo/omission.
