Re: F1 Sprint in F1 23?

Believe me, if the new Sprint format won't make it into the game, at the VERY LEAST EA needs to insert an option to disable Sprint Races, because I am not putting myself up with this garbage format again.

Qualifying should determine the grid lineup for the main event, and if the FIA want to make Sprint Races, they should make them work like F2, meaning Practice and Qualifying on Friday, a Sprint on Saturday in which the top 10 in Qualifying are reversed, and the main event uses the correct lineup from Qualifying. You shouldn't have to win a Sprint to take pole position. And like I mentioned in so many posts, if you mess up in the Sprint or get an engine failure which has 0% to do with you, you get punished for getting a superb Qualifying and start from last place, and that's not fair.

@LuckyNico92Your quarrel is not with EA.

This "garbage format" is all up to F1 and the forces that be. If the sport is moving in a direction that does not please you and evokes such harsh emotions, it's time to reconsider your attachment to a videogame franchise that is expected to be the closest representation of this motorsport category out there.

The more options to tailor our fictional F1 experience the better, but this "garbage" is not EA's doing and I don't see how "the VERY LEAST" they should do is flex their game modes to accommodate those acutely fond of the old ways.

Back on topic, I'd say it's unlikely that we'll see these mid-season changes make their way into F1 23. That would demand a certain agility we're not used to seeing around here.

I really hope the new format will be in the game, it would be a pity to be out of date before the start 😞

@Nuvolarix it would be a pity yes (personally I don't care, I don't like this format at all). But also we should understand that things like this do take time.

@DavidGG53 you clearly know what you are saying, but how much? From my point of view (from outside, I am a developer or to be exact I have been but in a completely different area) time ok, but it doesn't look like a huge change, nothing to be 'created' as new, just 'reorganized'... However I understand it must not be the top priority as well...

Which ever version of the sprint format they go with, let’s just hope the dreaded tyre bug is resolved, the one still occurring now in F122!

The race directly after a sprint weekend affects the non host player in two player career, whereby it’s not possible to change from a 5 stop soft tyre strategy.

As there are 6 sprint races in F123 this has to be resolved.
